One of 2 two well-appointed single story converted barns with shared courtyard. Each has 2 good sized double bedrooms, shower room, open plan kitchen/lounge/dinner. We are situated 1/2 mile from Shipdham airfield, 8 miles from Watton, 7 miles from Dereham & 4 miles from the pretty market town of Hingham. There is ample parking including space for larger vehicles. We welcome well behaved dogs and and even your horse - please contact us to add your dog at an extra cost of £5 each per night.

Our newly-built, self-contained lodge in Norfolk is situated in a quiet rural hamlet not far from a country village with a pub, grocery store, butchers and coffee shop. A perfect opportunity to get away from it all, with beautiful views and a paddock area (also for guest use). 10 minute drive from Swaffham and Dereham (with access to supermarkets and shops), 30 minutes to Kings Lynn or Norwich, 40 minutes to the North Norfolk coast. This was truly the loveliest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Alice and her family are wonderful. The home and the grounds are stunning. This is the place to go if you want a quiet, peaceful, restful getaway in the British countryside. Every morning I would look forward to waking up in my nook to the breeze blowing through the window, or the sheep baa-ing. The first night we sat outside in the fields ate cheese and drank wine while the sun set. Alice provided loads of recommendations of things to do and places to eat locally - which we basically followed to a T and had the best time. My only regret is that I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Idyllic.

Had a lovely stay thank you. Don't think id enjoy staying in summer though unless blinds were added to top windows and thicker curtains.Personally i like it darker to sleep but was fine for our stay.

Robyn was an amazing host and the cabin was a delight. A fresh loaf of bread waiting for us in the kitchen on arrival! We used the property as a base for the BSB weekend at Snetterton racecourse (only a 7 minute drive away), but there was also a river (5min walk) and a horse rescue centre just up the road that you drove through to get to the cabin. Wildlife was plentiful too. We’ll definitely be back to stay again

Historic House set in beautiful open countryside

We had a lovely stay in Wingate House and were well looked after by Lesley who met us on arrival. The cottage was immaculate, and the buildings come with interesting history. It's nice to see them being used, and they've all been tastefully and sympathetically renovated. The location is perfect for exploring Norfolk and is peaceful. The large secure garden was great for our dog. The prosecco and biscuits on arrival were greatly appreciated. We'd happily stay again.
