Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Campbell River

Silly me. I was so busy, unpacking, and feeding my kids when I checked in, that I forgot to open the window in the living room for a couple of hours. When I did I was absolutely stunned by the beauty. Gorgeous views of the strait, coupled with visions of iced capped mountains. Also, The place is located perfectly between the two towns. The place itself is very clean, and looks exactly as it does in the photos. Beds are very comfortable and the backyard is fenced for your furry friend. In all we had a great experience at Denas, my family, and I will certainly be back.

We had a very enjoyable two night start at Haining’s place. Beautiful location, very peaceful, idyllic. A highlight was waking up to see deer in the garden. Great value for money. Excellent host, helpful communication. We would definitely stay again, and would recommend to friends/family.

Great place for a group. We were attending a wedding in Campbell River and it was perfect! Comfortable rooms and beds for everyone to stay, two bathrooms to get ready, great views of the water and a really comfy couch and fireplace setup for a cozy night in with board games. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time here! Such a beautiful location! And Billy & Shelly made the most of the location with how they renovated the home to be the perfect AirBnB. There were also so many little touches & amenities that were greatly appreciated (treats, wine, plenty of coffee & tea, fishing gear, linens, etc). Everything was well stocked that you might need (not the barebones feeling like some other properties). Another cool thing that other hosts should take note of is their use of a tankless hot water system; more energy efficient while providing guests as much hot water as they need. (Don’t rent a place where only one guest can have a shower per evening. 😅)) They have obviously been guests elsewhere, because it shows in the way they host. Shelly was also very helpful & responsive with her communication. There were a couple minor (and unavoidable) maintenance things due to the weather that they immediately addressed (in under an hour). And then they gifted us a little tackle

We had a fantastic trip and the house was exactly as described, with great amenities, including the sauna and hot tub that were very straightforward to use. It was nice to have all the kitchen utensils and the BBQ access as well.

This is a wonderful ocean-front get-away! It was our 2nd 10-day stay in this peaceful, large 2-floor cottage in a quiet area. It's on a big private fenced yard and excellent soundproofing if the other side of the duplex is occupied. It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle to feel like we were all alone with the ocean and the 180° views, sunrise to sunset. Yet it’s an easy drive to local towns for grocery shopping, tourist activities, restaurants, etc. and the host provides excellent lists for all of that. The host has truly anticipated the needs of his guests. The unit is SO well equipped, beyond our expectations. Check out the extensive amenities list! We really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace using the big supply of wood. Very comfortable bed/mattress in a huge bedroom with a screened door to a private upper deck. Very comfortable living room furniture too. Eric (the host) is very responsive to all questions and feedback. I am sure we’ll be back!

We were in Heriot Bay for work. This location worked well. Beautiful location.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Airbnb on Vancouver Island! The view was absolutely breathtaking, and getting to see the alpacas up close was such a unique and special experience. The house itself was spacious, clean, and very comfortable — perfect for relaxing and taking in the peaceful surroundings. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

This spot is wonderful, right on the water, with easy access to the beach. This is a rocky beach but an old pair of sneakers or water shoes will ensure you can get right into the water. The sound of ocean at night is a wonderful way to relax and fall asleep. This is a small space but everything you need is here, great for 1 person or a couple. For nature lovers, Seal Bay Park is just right up the street. This location is a nice central spot with easy access to Comox, Courtney, Campbell River and Cumberland. I would definitely return to this spot :)

There are no words to describe Angela’s home. She, Susan and Doug were absolutely amazing! Very friendly, sweet, and gave us a lot of recommendations to spend the weekend. It definitely make your experience so much better as you can make smart decisions on how to utilize and enjoy your time there. Beautiful town, gorgeous home! Very stylish, I even would stole some ideas for my own house. Everything was looking so neat and clean, a very comfortable bed and pillows, for me having a nice night of sleep makes the difference to enjoy my day.

The place was immaculate and set in beautiful surroundings. We arrived late, but Cody had already lit the fire, such a lovely touch. The beds were super comfy (a good night’s sleep is important to us), and the cabin had everything we needed. The hot tub was spotless, and the parasol was a thoughtful addition for sunny days. The ducks were a real highlight, each with their own little personality. We loved feeding them (hopefully not too much!) and watching them line up by the hot tub waiting for more food. Maggie and Cody were both warm and genuine, you can tell they truly care about your stay. Although it’s near a road, it’s not busy at all and you’d barely know it’s there, it’s so peaceful and quiet. I’m an extremely light sleeper and I slept incredibly well, which says a lot. We’d love to come back next time we’re on the island.

Ekta and Peter are such wonderful hosts! It was a birthday weekend getaway to Hornby Island for some mountain biking and relaxing. They both provided great recommendations and even visited their stall at the Saturday market. Ekta checked in with us to make sure we made both ferry times :). The trails were a five minute bike ride away and the hot tub under the stars was a real treat. The Purple Door Cabin was a peaceful, quaint, and quiet spot tucked in the back of their lovely property. We also loved the greeting from Wyatt the cat when we arrived. Would definitely return!

This cabin was beyond cozy—just the right size with a beautiful, calming aesthetic. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and while private, it never felt too isolated. The sauna was a perfect way to unwind after exploring. Comfortable beds, abundance of hot water, and having laundry on-site were great additions. The evening lighting outside created such a nice ambiance, and we appreciated the labels on light switches and clear instructions for the thermostat. Thoughtful touches from L&M for our Golden, Murphy, made him feel just as welcome as we did. The fully enclosed yard gave us peace of mind—especially being in the heart of nature. Not far from the most gorgeous nature walk, and not a far drive for key amenities. Big shout out to Laurel for the pet friendly patio recommendations! This wasn’t only a magical property… but experience in itself. We hope to be back in the future. Thank you so much for making our mini-moon memorable.

This cabin exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for all the comforts in a tranquil location this home is perfect. It’s a beautiful combination of sea and rainforest. The home is equipped with high quality amenities. We saw whales swimming in the channel and birds are singing all day. The cabin is designed with windows to maximize your view. The sauna, outdoor shower and fire table was a relaxing way to finish the day and look out at the water. We like to cook and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this destination for some solitude and privacy. It’s evident the hosts put a lot of effort and thought to create special touches such as fresh greenery and herbs on display. We can’t wait to come back at the next opportunity.

Not only is the Cabin beautiful, clean, private (as the pictures show), but Tanya is an exceptional host. She truly is the best we’ve ever seen. My wife and kid (<2yrs old) had a wonderful, peaceful and exciting time. We loved it here and will be back soon! The property is beautiful. We saw 2 bears and I was able to do some fly fishing. Wow! To top it all off, Tanya and her husband Ty gave us a tour of their Dairy Farm. We saw the cows up close which was really exciting for all of us. We even got to feed the calves a bottle of milk. Absolutely above and beyond what’s expected. Thank you Tanya and family for a great long weekend filled with new memories and experiences that we’ll reflect on for years. We loved our stay at the Wind down cabin:) we did lots of our own cooking and never found ourselves in need of kitchen utensils or anything! The cabin had a very rustic vibe, if that's what you're looking for, this is the place to go:)

My stay at the Boathouse was excellent. I enjoyed the private location on the beach with beautiful views of Heriot Bay and watching the tide roll in. The cabin was clean and well stocked - everything I needed to cook a delicious meal and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning (with different brewing options). Definitely recommend for a quiet weekend getaway solo or as a couple. Thank you!
