Our countryside cottage situated less than 20 minutes from Saffron Walden or 30 minutes from Cambridge warmly welcomes you. It's ideal for couples, or if you are travelling alone, and in a secluded, very quiet rural location. A lovely garden and parking are free for you to use and enjoy. There is asy access to Cambridge, Newmarket, Duxford Museum and links to London by train from Royston (Kings Cross) or Audley End (Liverpool Street). Close to M11 at Duxford and A1 at Baldock. Several guests have used and appreciated the location cycling from London to Cambridge, finding this an ideal spot to have a relaxing break 'in the middle'. The garden has been experienced as a special, relaxing and inspiring space by all previous guests and you are very welcome to use and enjoy it. There is seating in all its areas and weather permitting breakfast is served in the garden if you wish! IMPORTANT NOTE: Often online maps indicate that the cottage is on the opposite side of the road. These things ensure you will find it quickly: * Coming from Langley it's on the right side, from Chishill / Barley on the left side of the road. * It helps to look at the listing's first picture to recognise the cottage and the little gate close to the house carries a sign with the house name and number.

The location is in a quaint little village right next to Mildenhall, and not too far of a drive from Bury St. Edmunds and Cambridge. The family room was very large, and had its own separate bathroom. I like that it was away from the other available room so you weren’t able to hear any noise unless you were in the shared spaces. Sian was a great host, gave good recommendations, and was very attentive to my needs, especially since I had a longer stay than most.

Janet and her husband run an excellent establishment. Attention to detail was really good from the communication we had before arriving, organising a taxi and then tea and cake in the garden! The breakfast was yummy and again service warm and welcoming. Highly rate the stay!

I couldn't recommend enough a stay at Wendy's home. She was the most amazing host, facilitating every aspect of my visit, from picking me up and dropping me at the station to cooking the most delicious meals, driving me to places of interest, and being beyond generous with her time and space. I always felt welcomed as a friend rather than an Airbnb guest throughout my stay. Furthermore, the house is as beautiful as you can see in the pictures, and Noodle is the cutest dog. If you need to spend time in this area, there's no better place than Wendy's!

I enjoyed my clean spacious room in a pretty village South of Cambridge. There are as lots of space to park. An absolutely delicious breakfast was included for overnight guests. Helpful staff at the pub enabled me to check-in even when arriving rather late in the evening. It is very handy for my work place right there in Hinxton.

Such a beautiful place to stay. We were made to feel very welcome by our host, Lisa. Great communication from the time we made our booking to the day of arrival. Our stay was to attend a wedding locally and due to traffic we were running late. Lisa went above and beyond to help us. Check in was very smooth. Home-made cake, tea, coffee were in our rooms and a lot of other thoughtful touches. The house is full of character and a lovely and relaxing place to stay. We all had a very good sleep in comfortable beds and enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning including cereals, fruit, yoghurt, warm croissants, full English, juice, tea and coffee. I would highly recommend. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

This was a beautiful place to relax, so quiet. Also dark skies because it was in the middle of nowhere / rural. Great place to unwind and chill out. 20 mins drive into Peterborough. Lovely little villages all around. Family all friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was amazing. Small fridge in the passage way so I could have fresh milk during my stay. I will be back for more chill out time soon.
