Good communication prior to arrival, and then met us as we arrived and explained the property and the details. Rob kept us updated of things that were going on, we had a lovely stay and our son loved watching the stream flow in the garden and watching the birds and the squirrels.

John and Isabelle's listing is a perfect getaway for two in Cumbria looking for an adventure but with homecomforts + sauna. Great location for accessing the rest of Cumbria (driving) with café, local shops and pub all within walking distance. Great local walks and runs as Caldbeck sits on the Cumbria Way. High Pike is approx. 3 miles to the South which makes for a superb run. Sauna was a great addition to the bothy and the best way to unwind after a long day. Would definitely stay again

We have had such a wonderful stay at Lords Mill. Such a beautiful, peaceful location. such comfy beds and the best equipped kitchen we have had!! Great to have 2 fridges :) Lovely walks from the cottage and good food at the Oddfellows Arms. Super friendly people. Good local shop..def try the Cumberland sausage and the chutney!! Really looking forward to coming back. xx

Location is great - a couple of minutes walk from the local pub (which is well worth a visit) and there are numerous great walks from the doorstep. The cottage was clean, tidy and had everything you could possibly need for a stay in the lakes. It’s a real home from home with Netflix on the TV and various board games to keep you entertained. Jo was super friendly, responsive and all in all a great host. We would definitely recommend staying here!
