Antique furnishings perfectly complement the historic architecture. The house is on 3 floors so a fair bit of walking up and down stairs is required. The main bedroom is on the upper floor and the 2nd bedroom (two single beds) and bathroom on the lowest floor. Ideal for couples and families but not for the elderly or groups of 4 adults.

The entire structure, of which the cabin is a portion, dates back to the early 1800s and housed the miners who worked in the nearby gold mines. Cà dul Barba, an old renovated house from the 1700s located in the western Piedmont Alps, in the hamlet of Santa Maria di Fomarco, Pieve Vergonte. A few meters from the oldest Marian Sanctuary in the area, it is a 30-minute drive from Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta and a 15-minute drive from Domodossola. Ideal starting point for wonderful trips to the nearby Ossola Valleys Anzasca, Antrona, Bognanco, Divedro, Formazza and Vigezzo.
