Hivehaus cabin in Dalton

DeborahRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We loved our stay at The Hivehaus. Tucked away in the Lancashire countryside, it’s peaceful, quirky, and full of charm. The design is eclectic and welcoming, with everything you need—tea, coffee, milk, pastries, and even a bottle of wine on arrival. Essentials like washing up liquid, toilet roll, and kitchen roll were all provided, plus loads of crockery and cutlery. Ed and Barry are fantastic hosts—kind, helpful, and respectful of your space. They also have two lovely, spirited dogs. We adored them, but if you're not a dog person, just let Ed know and she’ll keep them out of the way. The views from the top of the garden are beautiful and well worth the short walk. If you're after peace, comfort, and great hospitality, this place is for you. We can’t wait to go back—The Hivehaus is something really special.

Victorian House behind the High Street

SueBruceRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Conveniently located adjacent to High Street and walking distance to train station. We wanted somewhere between Liverpool and Manchester to travel in by train. Had parking close for our car. Matty’s house was comfortable and warm. House has steep stairs to bedrooms and bathroom which would not be suitable for elderly or people with mobility issues.

Kingsize bedroom with own en-suite

HeatherRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We chose to stay at Stephen’s as very close to our family, 3 minutes in car and walkable. Also very close to Stockton Heath and Cheshire villages and attractions. Couldn’t fault it and felt right at home. Lovely dog Cassie who we introduced to our grandchildren one day. Breakfast more than adequate, home baked bread. We were able to use the kitchen if needed, very kind and relaxed. Many thanks Ian and Stephen. Heather and Bernie Ainsworth
