Enjoy Lake James at our lakeview cottage just footsteps from the most serene cove on the lake. Prepare your meals in the fully stocked, large kitchen or have a BBQ and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and on two decks. During the day, cruise the lake with our kayaks, or bring your own Standup Paddle Board or small boat--the cove has it's own private boat launch. The in-ground pool is available for guests May 15 - Sept. 1. The home has 2 workspaces, TV media room, outdoor grill and dining.

Studio apartment in the basement of our home. It has its own driveway and entrance. The studio apartment locks from the outside and locks from the rest of our basement. It is about 800 sq. ft. Our house is conveniently located to Hickory (10 miles) Morganton (10 miles) Lenoir (15 miles) Table Rock/Lake James (20 miles) Blue Ridge Parkway( 35 miles) Boone (50 miles) Charlotte (50 miles). We also have a 70 acre cattle and sheep farm that you are free to explore. Very quiet and private.

Overall, the stay at Blind place was great! House was clean, location was great, and Blin was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hike down to the water is challenging and accurately portrayed in the listing. Be prepared for a steep ascent when you’re done on the water.

I can’t rate this property highly enough. Our second stay and it was fantastic again. The host Sarah was extremely helpful with assisting with a late night last minute reservation due to a change of plans on our end. The property is brand new with all new furnishings etc and was fully equipped for our 2 week stay. The property is private and the forest/lake surroundings provide a beautiful and peaceful outlook. We will definitely be back.

Nice, last minute weekend getaway for us! The house is very spacious and clean. The pool was very relaxing and the scenic view was amazing.
