The place was welcoming, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. This was important because we intended to stay in a lot and enjoy home cooked meals. The place felt homely and, with some basic provisions, we could settle in right away. The kitchen crockery, pots, pans etc were all clean and in excellent condition. There was plenty of choice for lounging and dining areas, with an indoor or more outdoor feel, and the surrounding natural landscape made for a beautiful and peaceful escape. Loved the outdoor swing between the tall trees which invited you to go outside. The seating around the grand firepit was excellent with beautiful decorative lighting. When the outdoor lights were off, we enjoyed expansive views of the Milky Way, by the fire. Additionally, we thought the host's dining recommendations in Ballarat and Daylesford were excellent, as was his communication. The getaway was just what we'd had in mind.

Gavin and Rosemary were very gracious hosts - friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. The cottage is very comfortable as represented in the listing photos, only a short walk to shops, restaurants and the local botanical gardens. It is a historically listed country cottage set in a delightful private garden setting complete with very cute peking chooks roaming free. The setup is ideal for a family group or close friends. Gavin and Rosemary provided breakfast provisions which was much appreciated.

The pure definition of serenity! Beautiful inside and out and every inch thoughtfully detailed and styled. Susan’s property had even more than what was listed. The perfect space to relax with a glass of wine infront of the fire, read a book under the vines, so many gorgeous picnic spots. Susan has thought of everything, curated walking tracks, picnic rug already in the picnic basket, salts already ready for bath tub, games and books to relax with. Coffee machine ready for your morning coffee while watching the kangaroos graze in the sunlight. Bliss

5 stars does not gives this property enough recognition. I was absolutely blown away upon arrival and throughout my stay. The design, space and atmosphere needs a few days to embrace (not just for one night). By far the nicest and cleanest airbnb I have ever stayed at!

We stayed at the Brooker Tiny home in May 2025. It was autumn, and we had clear and chilly nights which was perfect for lighting fires inside the fireplace, campfire and the sauna. Brooker was compact but designed so well that it was comfortable for two adults and a chocolate labrador- plenty of space for lounging, reading and relaxation. The sauna was amazing with the view of the forest. The peaceful surrounds had walking trails into the forest at your doorstep! All of us enjoyed our stay and wish we could've stayed a little longer next to the Wombat forest. Thank you for hosting :)

This is probably the best AirBNB we’ve stayed in to date. Spacious and clean with all creature comforts we wanted, there is literally nothing I could fault about it. We loved the peaceful surroundings, dog friendly is very important to me and there was plenty of room for my dog to run around outside, and lots of beautiful walks around the extensive property, as well as well as lots of friendly farm animals to see. The fire was roaring when we arrived, we never felt cold inside despite being Winter, and we loved all the blanket options and comfy seating for nights in front of the TV. We definitely hope to return again.

This place is absolutely wonderful! We had such a lovely time staying at this tiny house. Since the days are shorter this season, we asked Mel and Kasie if we could check in a bit earlier and check out a bit later to enjoy more daylight. They replied quickly and kindly—there was an extra $40 fee for a 1pm check-in and 1pm check-out, which gave us plenty of time to prep our meals and stroll around the farm. It was such a great experience! The bed was super comfy, the heater kept us nice and warm, and the shower had great hot water. The space had everything we needed. For the price, this stay was more than worth it—highly recommend!

The kitchen had every utensil, pots & pans required to cook up a storm. The beds were very comfortable, too. Unfortunately, we couldn't make the most of the garden as the weather was wet but the home was so cosy & warm. We loved the large dining room with its garden views & enjoyed watching a few movies in the evenings. The home was everything we needed & was located close to the Blackwood shops/cafes/pub & close to Trentham with its offerings, too. We even did a forest hike in the Wombat State Forest which was beautiful. I couldn't recommend this home or the location enough.
