Our second home is a mix of mid-century modern and "cabin in the woods." It sits on 2 heavily wooded acres and backs up to a mountainside with rock outcroppings. The main living area (living room, dining area, and kitchen) is raised about 4 steps, and the bedroom and bath areas are on the main level. There is one large bathroom with a shower. There is an electric fireplace surrounded by ledge stone in front of the u-shaped built-in sofa. There is abundant reading material & 2 TV's.

A winding road is framed by trees showcasing vibrant autumn foliage, with leaves in shades of orange, yellow, and red. The road curves gently, leading into the peaceful forested landscape, inviting exploration of the natural surroundings.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mamie's Carriage House and would love to stay there again if in the area. it was exactly as pictured and very homey and welcoming. We loved that the property is the carriage house for the beautiful Victorian home on the same property. It is very updated and modern inside but still with the original charm. She was a great host and made our stay very simple.

What a lovely hidden gem of a place. The in and out process was stress free and I appreciated the private ample parking. The neighborhood was quiet and absolutely safe. Details such as outside lighting, use of the yoga studio and relaxation areas were top notch. I also appreciated the motion sense lighting as you moved along the interior parts of the home. Instructions, defined areas of access were clear. The bathroom facilities were highly modern, spotless and well maintained. Linens and other items of use were aplenty. Everything well thought out.

Perfect location for a trip to Huntsville. Beautiful fully renovated home. It almost felt like we were the first ones to stay in a new build. Check in was easy and the locks worked perfectly. The animals were amazing and the setting is beautiful just outside of the city. Trains do run all day/night with their horns but the quality of the windows really cuts down on the noise. Would’ve given 5/5 for cleanliness but a kcup was left in the coffee, closet of the workout room had food in it and I had to hand wash some pans before using them due to some grease spots on them from the dishwasher not getting the pans 100% clean. I would 100% recommend staying here and would stay here again.

This was a wonderful stay in this cozy neighborhood, our host Meagan was friendly and helpful, the house was clean, spacious, beds were comfy and we had a lovely view of the cows from the farm bordering the backyard. We will definitely book again for next year!
