Railway wagon with stunning mountain views

ElliceRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a beautiful place to stay. The railway carriages are so unique- my children loved that they were sleeping in a carriage . The communal building exceeded my expectations with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, comfortable sofas, a pool table, vending machines, toys and board games. TV didn't seem to work but that's not a bad thing since we were trying to have a screen-free break, lol! Dining tables and chairs were clean. Toilet and shower rooms were immaculate. Shower head not super powerful but that is personal preference. Joey emailed clear instructions and lots of information to make our stay the best possible. We were surprised to see so much to do outdoors - football and goals, table tennis, rounders bat and balls, cricket bats and balls. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much!

Victorian Railway Carriage

We had a wonderful stay at Michael's railway carriage. It was perfect for us and our pooch. So cosy, clean, comfortable and quirky. Michael is an exceptional host, great communication and very friendly. We much appreciated the bottle of wine that magically appeared! We can't wait to come back ☺️

It was simply amazing and such a privilege to stay in a converted Victorian carriage. It’s all very laid back and friendly and you are not interferes with in anyway but the hosts are easy to find if you need them. A must for a train lover. The carriage was clean and though fully furnished with the added luxury of fresh flowers and a welcome pack. We will definitely be recommending

Restored train carriage by the sea

NancyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We've had a lovely week in the train carriage. Long walks and days on the beaches, cream teas and great meals out. My teenage children even forgot about TV and Wifi and enjoyed lots of chess and board games, and star gazing after days out! If you want to switch off and have a relaxing week in a beautiful part of the Isle of Wight, this is the perfect stay. It's a little shabby chic, but full of charm and has everything you'll need - very cosy and lots of space for dogs to sniff and run around.

"La Roulotte de Framboise" (Raspberry Caravan)

MarvinRating, 5 stars4 days ago
A truly lovingly designed caravan in the midst of wonderful nature and a uniquely implemented concept. Everything you need for cooking/living and feeling comfortable is available, you feel right at home. If you want to switch off for a few days and enjoy nature, this is the place to be. I had a great stay and was able to take long walks and visit Ghent/Bruges despite some rain. In the surroundings of the accommodation, you can spend hours in nature. Françoise and her husband were very accommodating and are great hosts. I highly recommend the Roulotte de Framboise!☺️

Awesome railway carriage. Nick and his family where very friendly and welcoming. Tommy the horse and the the numerous dogs were also lovely. Local village very walkable, we visited the Morris dancer pub, which was very good, also the busy brewery next door! We loved it, loads of space, peaceful and we're looking for an excuse currently so we can return!!

Perfect location. Just and no more outside Norwich in a marvellous country setting. On site shop, cracking walkable pubs/restaurants for food. We stayed not the Norwich triathlon which was a 2 minute walk away.

Snowy Owl - 1 bed converted railway carriage

SikanderRating, 5 stars21 months ago
I had an incredible stay at this Airbnb hosted by an outstanding host. The place felt like it had just been built, exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The host went above and beyond, providing logs for the wood burner and being extremely helpful whenever we needed assistance. Our toddler had a blast interacting with the friendly cows on the property. The location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds, with beautiful walks just a stone's throw away. I can't wait to return; this experience was truly exceptional.

Unusual stay in luxury converted train carriage 2

HannahRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The unique train carriage was a fabulous experience, it was situated in a beautiful place. Weather was terrible but that didn't stop us enjoying our surroundings. Next to the carriage was a pub that served breakfast, the food was amazing and convenient for the family, it's dog friendly too! The carriage does need a little tlc, but we found it pleasant and cosy. Would definitely stay here again. The host was very accommodating to our requirements. Big thank you Steve.

Very nice stay. Happened to meet Amy when we arrived and she was warm and friendly. Lovely little place with just what you need. Lots of storage under the bed with the microwave, hob etc underneath ready to be pulled out and used. Comfy bed. Slept me and my partner (we’re both 6ft tall) no problems. Nice cosy long weekend away with a fire to keep us warm.

Railway carriage full of delights

MarieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Truly enjoyable few days at Wannies Retreat. A picturesque location and unique accommodation. A perfect place to unwind and take it easy. We loved seeing all the sheep and lambs in the fields as we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Annabel was a fantastic host, quick to respond to questions, left out lovely welcome gifts for my children and offerered local knowledge. You can tell she really cares and wants you to have a great holiday. We will absolutely return at some point. Aswell as being able to spend time unwinding in and around the carriage, there was so many walks and day trip opportunities near by. Thanks so much for a magical few days .

our 2nd time here and was just as beautiful as the first. So glad we found this little gem, will definitely be our go to. Amazing little hut, but has everything you need! The hot tub is hot and easy to use and very private. we got to enjoy the outside area this time, two bbq areas, a picnic bench with parasol and further settings areas...all fully fenced in. Love having a proper bathroom, it's very well done and clean. little kitchen is more than you need for a night, tea and coffee provided too as well as butter and cereal for breakfast. can't wait to book again!

Booked this as a surprise for my Husband's special birthday and we had an amazing stay. Peaceful setting with nice walks in the area. We walked to the Royal Yew which was one of the recommendations and it didn't disappoint, the food was fantastic. The train was unique and had everything we needed for a long weekend in the Lake District. A great trip for a train enthusiast - Thank you for a great stay!
