Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Bristol County

Quaint little house close to Providence and Newport. Andres was a very responsive and helpful host. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

The cottage was in a great location, walking to the cutest waterfront coffee / ice cream shop (Sunset Cove) and other great restaurants, such as 15 Point. The decor was tasteful and nice. The only downsides were: sloped floor (you feel like you’ll slip forward off the couch), and the bed was extremely firm/hard. I do appreciate, however, Carolyn trying to offer a solution during our stay (adding a mattress pad), which sadly we didn’t have time to purchase. Overall we enjoyed our stay and loved Portsmouth, as it was close to Newport and an easy drive to Boston!

My sisters and I stayed here for a weekend and had a wonderful experience. The house was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed. The area was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We felt right at home and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and well-kept spot to unwind.

The place was incredible. It was beautifully kept and clean down to the sheets and towels. The view is unbelievable of the water right across the road. There is a beautiful park right next to the house if you have little ones that need to run. The kitchen was pristine, with wonderful appliances. The bedroom on the first floor was perfect for my mother-in-law, who can't walk up the steps. She had her own bathroom with a shower to herself. The rest of the bedrooms were upstairs. The beds were so comfortable, you didn't want to get up. She has provided so many extras, like shampoo, conditioner, soap, coffee and creamer. We honestly didn't have to go out to get any supplies. It was pouring when we arrived, and having the ability to open the garage and unload was extremely appreciated. I can't say anything bad about the place, I guarantee you will love it. Great rental with awesome coastal decor in the quaint setting of historic downtown Bristol. House was exactly as presented, immaculate, and comfortable. Parking is an issue unless you have a compact car. Truly enjoyed our stay and definitely would recommend to others.

We had a great stay! The place is very large so everyone had their own space! It was so close to everything that we could walk. I recommend this place to anyone that needs a place to stay in New Bedford! The place is beautiful!

This is one of the best places I have stayed in a long time! Place was super clean and easy to access. Was a great place for me and my friends to stay at and made the weekend more enjoyable. It’s super close to a bunch of restaurants and bars and very easy to get to downtown from there. Am very glad I was stay here and thank you for a great experience!

This place is fantastic for large parties. We were a bit disappointed to only find 4 actual bedrooms, but there were more than enough beds so we could make do. The location is awesome and the bar is very loud, but it was exactly what we needed for the weekend and had a great time.

Location was perfect. Short walk to restaurants and nightlife, while still in a peaceful residential neighborhood. The room is spacious and homey.

We had a great MDW at Paul’s apartment. It was in a perfect location — walkable to Thames St. but also in a quiet area near King Park with beautiful water views and a great playground for our little one. Ideal location to start 10 mile drive and easy access to the Breakers and other mansions. The apartment is clean and neat and the fireplace was cozy for cooler temperatures at night. Of note, there are only sheer curtains on the windows and apartment gets very bright when the sun rises early. Paul has sleep masks in the closet and you may very well need them if you don’t want to wake up at sunrise!

Mathews unit was wonderfully located a quick walk to the main downtown area and conveniently located next to Nitro bar, a convenient store, and a handful of delicious restaurants. The unit was very clean upon arrival, stocked with toiletries, coffee, etc. Our stay was comfortable and well worth the price of our stay. We would definitely recommend staying at Matthew’s to anyone coming to explore Newport!
