Besides our village shop, we are close to shopping and restaurants in Brienz (6.7km) and Meiringen (10km). Fighter aircraft occasionally take off from Meiringen airbase.

Lovely accommodation in the peaceful village of Brienz. Went hiking with a friend and it was the perfect location, easy to get to Grindelwald, Oeschinensee and Lauterbrunnen. The host Jacqueline was very welcoming and helpful and the accommodation itself was cosy and pleasant!

For 6 of us, it is a great place to stay. You will not have an issue at all if you have your own transportation to go around, which is what we did during the 3 nights there. We cooked dinner for all three nights for 6 of us at the house and enjoyed the view. We have already missed this house now as we are in Interlaken for another 4 nights with a different style of Airbnb. After sharing our photos and experience of the house with my sisters, they are interested in booking the same house for their future trip to Europe.

Roland was a great host who is very prompt in his response to any queries. He is there to welcome you personally. We like the quiet and peaceful surrounding and walkable distance (about 9 mins) to Brienz train station. Bus 151 brings is very near Roland's place if you are lazy to walk to the train station. We stay at Roland's place for 5 nights and it was a great base to get from Brienz station to Interlaken Ost for movement around Jungfrau areas. Lake Brienz is within 2 mins walking distance to Roland's place and it was nice to walk besides the lake to Brienz station. We will definitely recommend anyone to stay at Roland's place and would return again if we are visiting the Jungfrau area. Thank you for hosting us, Roland.

We were passing through at the end of a motorcycle road trip with my daughter, and were delighted by this stop. The view is breathtaking, the place is impeccably clean, and Stefan, our host, is very kind. We had the chance to buy delicious steaks and sausages from the farm, which we enjoyed at a barbecue facing the sunset. In the evening, deer walked peacefully nearby… A real little piece of heaven, perfectly maintained. Thank you again to Stefan for this wonderful stay!

Fantastic location, everything was as in the pictures. The kitchen is actually much better than in the photos - new and very well equipped. 15 min drive from Brienz on a secluded hill, surrounded by acres of beautiful countryside with a view of the alps. Would deginitely visit again.
