Country Cottage

Our cottage is peaceful, comfortable, and conveniently located. The campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is near by and so is Breaux Bridge and Lafayette shopping and restaurants. We live near by and would love to tell you about a variety of places to visit such as the little cafe down town that serves the best fresh fried shrimp poboy served with fresh potato fries and on Saturday provides Cajun music played by local musicians. We love our community and think you will too.

The house has its own washer, dryer, free wifi and a TV. It also has a boat launch and fishing deck. Our house is located on a canal on the Atchafalaya River, addition to Butte La Rose, LA. We are exactly in between Lafayette and Baton Rouge, equally 30 minutes away from both locations!

Our cozy cabin sits in the heart of Cajun country, about 30 minutes outside of Lafayette. It's a great place to spend time relaxing in the quiet serenity of South Louisiana, or enjoy spending a night or more traveling through, it is located just 8 miles north of Interstate 10. We do not allow pets. The Cabin is all wood inside and has the great cabin smell the minute you open the door. It was built in 2014 by Amish builders in Pennsylvania and transported down by a truck.

Our cabin is called La Libellule. It is a wonderful little cabin on Lake Martin in Breaux Bridge, La. Amenities include a king size bed, screened in porch, shaded deck, fire pit, washer, dryer, 2 tvs, internet and a full kitchen. There are generally fresh herbs in the garden depending on what time of year you come. The dragon flys are glorious here and if you are lucky you can see a pinkish red one. There is a lovely walking trail nearby.

Two wooden rocking chairs are positioned on a covered porch, facing an expansive view of the surrounding grassy landscape. Ferns hang from the ceiling, and colorful flowers can be seen in planters nearby. Soft natural light filters through the area.

Great place. We were looking forward to a great get-a-way (with neighbors we knew) and it was GREAT!!!! The men had a boat, went to the Lake, fished, crabbed and enjoyed the area. The house was comfortable and well done. We had the neighbors over for lunch on Monday and he supplied us with additional crabs Monday night. Would not hesitate to go back next year, God willing. I'm extremely grateful for people like Jeremy and Stephanie for allowing others to share their beautiful homes.

Modern Country Cottage with a View

The location was perfect for our stay. My husband was attending a workshop on the property. He could walk back and forth throughout the day. The cottage was comfortable, we slept very well and enjoyed the porch swing. It was quiet, peaceful and had the benefit of a view of a sugarcane field. Should an event at NUNU'S occur again, we would hope to stay there. If you want to visit Arnaudville to visit The Little Big Cup Restaurant or the local brewery, they are just around the corner, very convenient. It is located behind NUNU'S, which is a wonderful art gallery/gift shop. It is shocking to find such a venue in this little town. Kudos to the artist and community for making it happen.

First time walking in the Airbnb I was so amazed by all the wood details. Every thing felt so homey. Inside was so much historic things, pieces, and books to see and read. I loved it!!Mrs Rhona was so helpful with all the questions I asked her. The bed was so comfortable to sleep in and most importantly Mrs Rhona and her husband put together the snacks, books and card games for the kids and us to play with while we were there. The place was kids friendly. I love just being outside bbq in the afternoon while sitting on the lovely swing watching different birds flying back and forth. At night time it was even nice to sit in the jacuzzi and relaxed. The place have everything you need in a home for us adults and as well for the kids. We will be back guarantee! Thank you for such being an awesome host.

Tomi è stato gentilissimo! Lo chalet è molto bello, confortevole e accogliente. Tutte le stanze erano ben pulite e il letto era molto comodo. La casa è silenziosa e l’area molto tranquilla, in mezzo alla natura. Comodo parcheggio e check in veloce. Tomi ci ha dato anche ottimi consigli su dove mangiare sia in zona sia a Lafayette (che dista 30 minuti di auto). Consigliassimo, torneremo sicuramente!
