The Cottage

Newly renovated, this lovely 2 bedroom cottage is located on the beautiful Whitney Estate, 5 miles from Hay-on-Wye and a 30-minute drive to Brecon Beacon National Park. A short walk away, the village of Whitney-on-Wye offers a riverside pub, canoeing and gourmet shop/café. Walking paths weave through the property and are easily accessible. In addition to numerous area activities including hiking and canoeing, the estate offers salmon fishing beats which are available for guests.

Wagtail have recently been renovated. They are two charming semi detached, single storey barn conversions, set in the idyllic grounds of the owner’s home. Both have been decorated and furnished to a high standard. They have views over the gardens, brook and fields beyond. Ideal to relax in a quiet, unspoilt area, perfect for an exciting, active holiday or a romantic break. The Granary at the Crooked House

***We are located in England, not Wales. NOTE the staircase is very steep so young children will need to be supervised when upstairs. A cosy, rustic retreat in the heart of stunning Borders countryside. We are able to provide a contact free check-in and check-out. I live in a property adjacent, but at some distances to the property. Enjoy amazing stars at night and fresh eggs from our own hens for breakfast. Wake up to bird song and beautiful views.

Laburnum Cottage, Kington: on Welsh borders

Laburnum Cottage is a modernised annexe - with a double bedroom en-suite upstairs and a large sofabed downstairs. Situated just outside Kington (down the bottom of a steep lane - below Kington Golf Course) in the heart of walking country - close to Welsh border towns. For walking - historic Offa’s Dyke is a few fields away. Hay-on-Wye (book festival) is a 20-minute drive away. Train stations are in Leominster or Hereford. Walkers and cyclists welcome.
