Lovely place to stay. Peace at last

We just had a magical stay here. The setting is sublime, from the ancient cobbled arched entrance with its Narnia-like door to the loch, and the old stone spiral staircase, to the extremely spacious apartment itself. The apartment has stunning views over the loch from the open plan lounge and kitchen, plus the principal bedroom, and the 2nd bedroom overlooks the picture book Dairy Yard with its Old Ginger dandie dinmont terrier statue. The accommodation is generous and comfortable, the huge bed a dream to sleep in, with good linen and thick white towels for the bathroom. The weather was too warm to use the open fire but it would be really cosy in winter! Would thoroughly recommend, the view from those windows is just so calming and there is so much birdsong in the air and the walk around the loch to enjoy. (Saw a red squirrel, grebes and a kingfisher!). It’s an easy walk into town and there are so many glorious places to visit in the Scottish Borders.

The place was perfect for us, great location for our day trips. We turned the heat on the first night and it was toasty warm. We loved driving the back roads and the parking was great. Would recommend!
