Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Bonnington, Edinburgh

Melissa’s flat has been put together with so much thought, it is stylish, cosy, and comfortable. It is perfectly located to be walkable for all the main sites in Edinburgh and has lots of nice restaurants, coffee shops, and bars nearby (and Melissa provided a guidebook to help find the best spots). Melissa was incredibly accommodating and even arranged an infant cot for us. Would absolutely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage is very cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. Our toddler especially loved exploring outside and had a great time running around the old Kirk next door. A lovely, peaceful spot—we’d definitely stay again!

Melissa was a friendly, helpful and very responsive host. The house was exactly want we wanted and expected. The place was also spotless. The rooms were all good sizes and the bathroom was modern and had a really nice shower (with a bath for the kids) l. The location was great for our little family that wanted space in the evenings but happy to travel a bit to get into Edinburgh, we found the short drive to Kirkcaldy where we could park at the station and get a train directly into central Edinburgh worked perfectly for us. Or you could use as a base for driving to different parts of Scotland. I wish we had time to look at the local area some more as it's near a coastal path. I would definitely come again and recommend to others.

Charming one night stay after getting in late from the airport!

What stunning views and such a tranquil location. Loved our stay and hosts were so accommodating when we were a little late and they opened up for our grocery delivery driver! We are a family of four with a dog and loved using the enclosed garden, bbq and fire pit. Beds are comfortable and showers are super. Even the sofa bed is great! Would stay again. We had a fantastic stay at Green Cottage. Craig was very helpful from the start with travel tips and luggage drop off information. Craig provided very useful information for checking in and locating the cottage, everything was easy to follow. The cottage is in a lovely location, within walking distance of the Royal Botantial Gardens and the coast line. It is also near many bus routes and easy to visit all the tourist sites in Edinburgh.

We had a wonderfull stay in this almost like new house. Highly recommanded!

A great base for visiting Edinburgh. Lovely accommodation; peaceful neighbourhood and very easy transport links into the city. Can also highly recommend the Riccarton Inn, within a few minutes walk - great food and drinks selection and the Tuesday night quiz is good fun. Fiona is an excellent host - very responsive, clear communication and very proactive to make sure your stay is a good one. Would definitely stay here again.

ottima posizione per visitare Edimburgo, in un quartiere residenziale silenzioso e con tutte le necessità. A 10/15 Min di autobus dalla Old Town e dal centro città. Appartamento molto spazioso e con tutto l'occorrente per una vacanza. Glenn host molto disponibile e tempestivo nel rispondere a domande di ogni genere. Davvero consigliato!

It was my first time traveling alone and Skye helped make me feel very comfortable. She was extremely accommodating and amazing to interact with. The location is perfect for exploring the city by foot. You’re only a 20-30 minute walk from the old and new town (Victoria street and princes street). It’s almost a direct walk up the main street or I chose to walk through the park. It’s a very safe area and everyone is super friendly. I felt very safe being alone. There are plenty of good food options nearby even amazing vegan options. Or the flat has a full kitchen with everything you need to cook yourself a meal. There’s even a small grocery store next door. It’s very cozy and cutely decorated. I would absolutely love to stay here again! Thank you so much for everything Skye!

Clean and cozy place, she left some eggs, milk and cookies that were really convenient. Comfortable bed!

Greg est un hôte tres proactif et très accueillant, les instructions étaient très claires, l’appartement très confortable et situé au centre d’Edimbourg proche de tout, je recommande vivement.

Appartement charmant et très bien situé. Transports en commun très proches. Mais l'emplacement fait que l'on peut accéder facilement à pied aux principaux sites touristiques. François est un hôte toujours joignable et d'une grande gentillesse. Je recommande vivement cet endroit.

Absolutely gorgeous apartment, very central to the city, yet still had that private, home from home feel. Beds are super comfortable and the place was squeaky clean. Craig and Holly are fantastic and super accommodating! I couldn’t recommend them more!

Anna‘s place is located in a very quiet neighborhood, but close walking distance to Grass Market and the Royal Mile. It felt very homey and extremely spacious. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Even though there was a slight unpleasant musty odor coming from the shower drain, it did not dampen our visit here and the odor remained only in that room. Everything else was super clean and wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

Wir hatten eine unfassbar schöne und erholsame Zeit in Karen's Unterkunft in dem sehr idyllischen Ort Burntisland. Eigentlich wollten wir direkt in Edinburgh unterkommen, was wir uns allerdings nicht leisten konnten. Als wir dann in Burntisland ankamen, waren wir extrem positiv überrascht und haben uns schnell in den kleinen Ort verliebt. Im Endeffekt fanden wir es dort sogar besser als in Edinburgh. Nicht nur ist die Stadt sehr praktisch via Zug innerhalb von 40min zu erreichen, die Züge fahren auch sehr regelmäßig. Der Ort selbst ist klein, aber fein. Alle nötigen Läden, kleinere Imbissbuden, Cafés oder Restaurants sind vorhanden. Am meisten hat uns allerdings die abwechslungsgreiche Natur gefallen. Man ist direkt am Meer, hat hinter sich den Wald, eine schöne Anhöhe, deren Ausblick es sich definitiv lohnt sie zu erklimmen. Der Fife-Coastal-Path führt über mehrere solch kleiner Orte an der Küste entlang und der Abschnitt um Burntisland herum ist einfach fantastisch. Große Empfehlung!

Stayed here for 2 nights with 5 other adults - one of the best decisions! As a start, check-in was smooth. Everyone has their bed, towels which is great. Had to figure out the heater (our country is Summer all year) and Lukas was very responsive. This location is almost a straight drive to the city centre. With free parking at the location, it gave us great relief to know we won’t get penalised. Love this place! I would recommend this to others.

we have just left Howford house after a lovely 3 night weekend stay to celebrate my husbands 40th. we were a family of 14 adults, 2 children and a newborn baby and we had the most peaceful comfortable stay. the house is fantastic, it has everything you need and the location although super private and peaceful, it was near restaurants, the coop supermarket, Traquair House and land which we got discounted because we were house guests, and lots of walks and hikes. the surrounding acres were stunning with the frost and autumn leaves. we all loved our stay, the kids (and the adults) didn't want to leave. special thanks to Elaine the housekeeper who was brilliant with her communication and help. we will recommend and be back in the future.

Entering this well appointed, beautiful home, there is a feeling of warmth and relaxation. The skylights bring in the natural light to the bathrooms. The Kitchen is modern and sleek, with everything you need to make a first class meal. The visually stunning, spacious backyard has a wonderful garden. There is a park just behind the house. My daily jog would lead me down to the beach. Here i would do a quick cold plunge- rejuvenating my body. The area is surrounded by a world renowned collection of golf clubs. The Longniddry golf club is a short walk and is a fun track. Thank you for being great hosts.

I can’t say enough about this place and how lovely Ian and Flo were in being such great hosts. Not only was the house fantastic but they were so kind and helpful… It was like staying with good friends.!

Suzanna und Derek haben uns freundlich in Empfang genommen und uns alles ausführlich erklärt. Wir konnten etwas eher als zur angegebenen Zeit unser Gepäck abstellen. Insgesamt war alles so, wie beschrieben. Ein wenig Besteck wäre toll gewesen :-) Wir haben nicht danach gefragt, ich bin aber sicher, dass Suzanna uns damit ausgeholfen hätte. Portobello ist ein netter Vorort von Edinburgh, direkt am Strand gelegen. Es gibt gute Busverbindungen in die City. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ebenfalls zu Fuß erreichbar.

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.
