Victorian Charm Steps from Kloof Street

Take morning coffee in a sun-dappled courtyard among pots and eclectic ornaments. African arts such as beaded animal sculptures, masks, dolls, and other well-placed treasures blend with Scandinavian simplicity to create a real home feel. Being an old house, built in 1900 with later add-ons, it has a lot of charm and personality, which includes somewhat unusual architectural solutions.... Guests should be aware that the two downstairs bedrooms and bathroom are next to each other, so to get from the first bedroom to the bathroom you must pass through the second bedroom. Welcome to our Cape Town home, which we hope you will enjoy as much as we do! If you are interested in arts, crafts, and handmade products we hope and think that our home can be of inspiration. The interior of our Victorian cottage has an overall idea: To engage local and African crafters, adding some Scandinavian design where suitable - and always with a smile. Our home is constantly a "work in process" zone, but still comfortable and a typical "lock up and go" place. As our guest you are invited to enjoy the entire house. We may not have the biggest home for rental, but you can easily sleep 7 people here. (there is also an extra mattress available, so 8 people is also fine) Most probably you will not meet me in person during your stay - instead you will meet Chris, my co-host and good friend. Chris will be your contact person, and I am also always available via email and phone. Walking distance from trendy Kloof Street, the neighborhood is still quiet and friendly. Shops, museums, galleries, bars, restaurants, and even Lion's Head mountain are all within reach on foot. Clifton and Camps Bay beaches are just a short drive. Cape Town's MyBus public transport is 3 minutes away, connecting you to the rest of the city. We find Uber the best way to get around in the city, if not walking. Our house dates from 1900 and heritage protected. It is a 'living' house, in the sense that the floors are skew, there will always be new cracks etc. We do maintenance work every year, but it will never be perfect. And this is why we love the house so much, I guess: Perfect, because it is imperfect. During summer heat waves the upstairs room can be a challenge to sleep in, but the newly installed aircon has solved this issue almost entirely... We are also working on additional features to get better air circulation upstairs, but due to heritage laws it takes some time to implement the changes....but they will surely come!

We only rent the space as an entire home so its pretty much access all areas! We can offer concierge services at an additional cost, anything from having your breakfast made for you, to a daily turn down/bed making and cleaning service, a cocktail barman to serve you and your guests drinks or a driver/host to recommend and take you to some of the finest wineries, restaurants and tourist attractions. We as hosts are also on hand to give you some pointers in terms of our favorite restaurants, wine farms, markets, golf courses and general events and activity in and around Cape Town. Experience the neighbourhood from right outside the door, with the Bree Street buzz of bars, restaurants, bakeries, design studios and fashion outlets. Something interesting is always going on at any time — there's even a monthly street carnival. Heart of the city, use Uber, hail a cab, or use the My City Bus to get around. Cape Town is also a relatively easy city to drive in and car hire is cheep. There is much said about safety in Africa. I would say this, CT city Centre is like no other city in Africa, it is very clean and very safe. My wife is Spanish I am English and we have made Cape Town our home for these past 10 years, we can safely say that so long as you excersize the same common sense and caution that you would when visiting a City anywhere in the world you will have a very safe and very fun time in the Mother City.

Wander through this stunning, bright townhouse and absorb design inspiration from its eclectic touches. Prepare a meal on the BBQ grill, take a swim in the pool, and light the fire pit while enjoying the sunset with family and friends. 11 The Retreat is only a 3 minute leisurely walk from the famous Camps Bay beach and restaurants. The house is spread over 3 levels. A 3 car private and lockable garage on the first, main living area inside and outside on the second level and bedrooms and bathrooms on the top and 3rd level. All levels are accessible by stairs and is therefore not wheelchair friendly or will not suit guests with walking difficulty. Accommodation is made up of 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Toilets are not separate but there is an additional guest loo on the second level. The house has a small private swimming pool, fire pit and gas barbecue. Pick n pay and a great variety of restaurants are just a short walk away. The property was newly renovated in 2015 and refurnished October 2016. For the duration of your stay, you will have access to the entire home. I am phone call away to assist with anything you may need during your stay. Enjoy security and serenity in the amazing neighborhood of Camps Bay. Stroll for just three minutes to the beach or enjoy the restaurant hub and local shops. Exploring beyond the area is easy with easy access to Cape Town and surrounding areas. The Cape Town my City bus stop as well as the red Cape Town sightseeing tourist bus is nearby and approximately a 5 min walk. We can also assist with airport transfers and all other traveling requirements. Should you wish for us to shop for you and stock the fridge and pantry before your arrival, we can do that too at an additional service fee.

Relax, Unwind, Recharge in a Stunning, Secluded, Quiet Guesthouse in Bishops Court, Cape Town

This cottage oozes charm and character. It has an open plan feel although a beautiful mahogany screen divides the bedroom suite from the living area. Rose Cottage is a stand alone cottage on an acre property. Guests have access to the exquisitely maintained garden and the private and secluded swimming pool and pool house. There is parking available for one vehicle on the property. The main house is occupied by the owners and two dogs and a cat. There is a full time housekeeper and gardener on the premises.Rose Cottage is only serviced from Monday to Friday for between 11am and 12pm and not on the weekends and public holidays. The cottage is situated in the upmarket, leafy suburb of Bishops Court. Clifton, Kalk Bay, Simons Town, Cape Point, Constantia valley wine farms, Kirstenbosch Gardens and Table Mountain are all on our doorstep as are major shopping malls/restaurants. Bishops court is not close to public transport and guest either hire a car or make use of the ubiquitous Uber taxis. The property is fully alarmed with access to armed response.

This fabulous home is approx 10km from Cape Town CBD and 8.5km from the popular Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. There are beaches and a lovely shopping center with a variety of shops and restaurants within 2.5km walking distance. It is close to the R27 West Coast tourist route, and MyCiti bus route. The house has a large garden with a private pool and entertainment area, as well as unlimited Wifi access. NO LOADSHEDDING! Asari Cottage is completely stand alone - not in somebody's yard! It is perfect for families with small children as it is situated in a safe cul-de-sac and has a lovely garden. It is also ideal for kite surfers as it has a lock up garage to park cars and store equipment and an outside wash area for wetsuits and sandy feet!
