Waterfront vacation rentals in Big Sur

The stay at the cottage suite was wonderful! It was a great getaway for just the two of us and our 11 year old Golden, with easy access to the beach, to Cayucos and to Morro Bay. This is probably one of the most nicely appointed Airbnb places that we have stayed. It is not like the typical short term rental flip. You can tell that Edel and Alex have put the same care into the cottage as they would their house, with spot on finishes and trim, comfortable furniture and high end appliances. Definitely will be at the top of our list next time we visit the Central Coast

Beautiful place right on the beach. Fully remodeled unit and very clean. Fully stocked kitchen. Our family had a great time staying at this unit. Already planning to come back in couple of months.

This is our first time in Capitola, and my husband and my twin boys enjoyed the unit and the surroundings so much! You can see the ocean view through the bedroom, grab some snacks, and sit on the balcony. Then, you can just go downstairs and walk across the street to the ocean! This unit has a private parking place, so you can just drive and park there easily. Moreover, the restaurants and the shopping store are just a one-minute walk away. All you can do is relax here!!

We had such a lovely stay! The location is unbeatable, right next to the ocean and we got lucky with two full days of sunshine before the marine layer rolled in. Paul was super accommodating and friendly. A special shoutout to his sweet cat, who greeted us every time we pulled into the driveway. Definitely a highlight! Would absolutely stay here again.

This place is incredible! It was such an amazing experience. The place was very clean with everything we needed. It’s a short walk to the beach. The pool is also wonderful. The host is fantastic as well and very helpful. I would highly recommend staying here. If you’re in the area this is where you want to stay.

Probably the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in in terms of being a clean, well stocked place. So many little details done right. Charging docks on all the night stands. A “did you forget anything” toiletry basket in the restroom. The well equipped kitchen and selection of coffee from Keurig to Nespresso. A lot of care was put into this home and it’s well worth the asking price. As far as location, proximity to the beach, and views - that is all self explanatory. I had an amazing time, and will certainly book again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Pringle family house! The home itself was so bright and cozy. The backyard was beautiful. There were so many bright flowers all around the yard. We even got to enjoy a small quail family that visited daily:) So cute! We recommend this house for any future visitors!

What a lovely stay. My family really enjoyed it which means I enjoyed it. If you have a complaint it’s almost like there’s too many things. The place is STOCKED and feels lived in. The house has everything you need - (everything from wet suits, to an Nespresso machine, sunscreen, cleaning products, a truly stocked kitchen) Only 2 tiny issues. There seemed to be some pet dander from dogs (family member is allergic) and tiny issue we had was with the old cooktop, so hopefully they get an induction or glass top stove at some point. Electric grill Based cooktops are a huge pain in the butt - but we love to cook- and may not be a big deal if u dont. This price for beach front property is hard to beat. The backyard is fairly private and is relaxing. All in all a GREAT stay!! The area is patrolled by local police at night- felt safe, home well stocked & bit cluttered, the neighbors are quiet, in construction and/or empty, good responsive host and the view is FANTASTIC 😍🌊

Place was beautifully decorated. The place made you feel like staying inside all day. The backyard made me feel like I need to redo my own backyard in inspiration of this one. There is everything you might need in this place. The beds are extremely comfortable, the place smells nice too. I definitely recommend staying here, I would stay again. Thank you for such wonderful accommodations. I will see if you have any others to check out also.

The house is in a quiet, safe and pleasant place, the house is super comfortable, the bed is very good, the kitchen separate from the bedroom is very comfortable, it has all the necessary equipment to make a meal, we love the space, the entrance is independent, I highly recommend it.

We had a lovely weekend with our family celebrating a birthday. The place was perfect for hosting 6 of us, walking to the beach and then driving up to Capitola and other towns very close by for celebration dinners. We enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend others to consider for a beach getaway.

We had a fantastic stay! The location is absolutely perfect—just steps from the beach, which made it easy to enjoy morning walks, sunsets, and plenty of ocean time without any hassle. The house was clean, well-stocked, and exactly as described. A peaceful and relaxing getaway—we’d love to come back!

This is a great place to stay! The house was so clean..beautiful views..we saw a whale from the family room. Very hospitable, Bernardine was easy to communicate with. Our family cannot wait to return!

Our stay started off a bit rocky due to a little mix up, but I have to say, the host went above and beyond to make things right. Kristina was incredibly responsive and proactive, ensuring that the issue was resolved quickly and that we were comfortable and happy for the rest of our stay. The property itself is beautiful with an amazing ocean view and access to the pool/hot tub that is very close. I really appreciate how the hosts had all the extras added to the condo such as chairs, air mattress, pack and play and cooking spices ext. It's clear they genuinely care about their guests' experience. If you’re looking for a place where the host truly listens and takes action, this is it. I can't wait to stay here again!

Amazing views of the Pajaro River and Pacific Ocean. Short walk (300 yards) to the beach along a boardwalk or enjoy the views from the livingroom through the large picture windows or deck. Perfect for a couple or young family (the two twin beds in the second bedroom are quite small but my 20 something daughters had no complaints). Abundant bird watching opportunities along with the occasional sea lion\seal and otter.

We had a wonderful short getaway at Sue’s place! The condo is just steps from the beach, pool, and jacuzzi. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was relaxing, and the ocean breeze was very refreshing. It was exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. Everything was just as described, and we would stay here again! Thank you, Sue!

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay! The pictures didn't do it justice - all the upgrades were well worth it and my family thoroughly enjoyed the stay there. My was very responsive and helpful. So glad we found it! Would definitely stay there again.

We’ve stayed at Pajaro Dunes before, but it’s been decades ago. Marc’s place was perfectly situated for privacy and views and was very clean and well appointed. The peacefulness and serenity were exactly what we were looking for. The beachy feel of the furnishings was charming and the unit included all that we needed including an upgraded and well furnished kitchen, a gas fireplace, a comfortable, king size bed and other essentials like extra blankets and a Kuerig coffee maker. Our only difficulty was when inadvertently trying to use the TV remote to change channels…Don’t Do That, Use the cable remote like it says in the instructions. Spent a thoroughly enjoyable four days here with side trips to Monterey and Carmel. Perfect home base for dining out and exploring the coast, and an excellent, proactive host.

Lisa was very friendly and responsive. She not only provided clear instructions, flexible check-in, but also shared many great local dinning options, which were super helpful for our family of five. The condo was kept spotless with comfortable king size bed, bunkbed that my boys love, a beautiful swirling love seat that my daughter loved to sit in while watching sea birds catching fish using the binocular provided! Our family specifically loved the fireplace on the balcony. It was just perfect for us to enjoy the cozy night chatting and laughing by the fire while listening to the ocean waves NorCal beaches can be very chilling at night. The outdoor fireplace is such a thoughtful amenity. THANK YOU, Lisa!

This location is ideal for those who like easy access to hiking, walking, beach, pools etc. Also a short drive to Capitola, and Santa Cruz to the North. Views from the balcony are way better than the pictures. Stay here, you will not be disappointed.

outstanding location, I don't think any other place can beat this location for the price of our stay. right on the beach and almost close everything you can do around and at Pismo beach, Grover Beach. Highly recommended and what a great host Amber. they made sure our experience was pleasant throughout from booking to check out. thanks again Amber for hosting us.
