Redwood Haven is located in an idyllic canyon between Carmel and Big Sur with beautiful vistas, hikes, and parks within a short drive. The cabin sits along a creek under the Redwood canopy, minutes from Highway 1. It is a 1 bedroom studio with a queen bed and an additional queen Murphy wall bed available when needed. It can comfortably accommodate up to 4. There is a sizable garden with a grill and outdoor seating, and the area is fenced in for privacy. We'd love to host your stay!
“Amazing cabin to stay in overnight. It was a great spot partway from SF and on to LA. The scenery was unbelievable, truly adding to the experience of driving on the PCH. The cabin was warm and the shower was as well. It was quite scenic to pull off route 1 and drive through the forest to our cabin. There really are no nearby stores (which only adds to the experience), so bring food/drinks with you. The only thing I would recommend is to make sure the directions are saved on your phone and you get there before sunset as it gets dark quickly. We missed the cabin the first time but nearby neighbors were more than friendly to assist; I will definitely be recommending this place regardless. Thanks for a great stay!”
Colette's Cottage is a clean, modern cabin surrounded by giant, coastal redwood trees. A tranquil and serene park-like setting with all modern amenities included: Gas fireplace, Plush Queen size bed, high speed wifi and a private deck overlooking a seasonal creek. Lovingly remodeled in 2017 as a romantic retreat among the redwoods.
“Our stay was seriously BEYOND. Without getting too far into my personal circumstances, I am a single-dad with two young boys + small biz owner who quite literally NEVER gets to go on vacation anywhere, let alone to to a paradise like this. Colette and Al's space is truly immaculate, and has all of the right touches to make even a brief stay like ours feel special. My travel companion and I liked it so much we wanted to move in :) Comfortable bed with soft, luxurious linens and heavy blankets? Check! Perfectly appointed shower with bench and excellent water pressure? Check! Gorgeous stone countertops and kitchen sink? Check! A perfect combination of seclusion and connectivity? Check! Coffee and snacks on deck upon arrival? Check! Gracious hosts who communicate thoroughly but are otherwise almost invisible? Check! A wall of windows revealing towering redwoods and a creek? Check! And the list goes on . . . The location proved just perfect for a variety of outdoor day-trips to whale watch, hike, swim, and eat all up and down the coast. So grateful to Colette and Al for the time and care spent making this space and the land around it everything it is.”
A cozy, rustic, secluded cabin, accessed via 3/10-mile steep hike from the main part of the property. The perfect getaway for romance, writers, artists or anyone who needs a retreat in nature! I'm going to emphasize again that the hike to the cabin, although not a very long hike it is very steep especially nearest to the cabin. You'll be carrying all your belongings so plan accordingly. If you are pregnant this isn't a good option. Contact Sofanya for other lodging options.
“Stayed at the Lotus Blossom for 3 nights and 4 days for our 3 year anniversary! Beautiful space! Very peaceful and isolated! It is small and cozy and has everything you need. We made meals in the kitchenette, enjoyed conversations in the little dining space, and woke up to majestic redwoods right outside the bedroom window. The uphill hike IS challenging, so when Sofanya says pack light, PACK LIGHT! We brought a cooler and thank goodness we had the foresight to bring a trolley. It was still challenging lugging the trolley uphill. Going downhill was easier. Wear hiking boots with a lot of traction as the gravel is loose. Think of it as your daily workout ;) We also had the pleasure of having a private painting session with Sofanya by the stream, and it was such a restorative and meditative experience. Sofanya is a beautiful soul and Star Lily was absolutely sweet. A short enough drive to Carmel, Monterey, Point Lobos, and Big Sur. We will definitely be back!”
