The adobe is perched high on the edge of Jack Eden Mesa in the Chihuahuan Desert. The rustic adobe overlooks the historic Comanche Trail and is built near an ancient Indian campsite as evidenced by metate's, stacked rocks and a petroglyph. This is a very remote location and will provide you with a unique, wild west experience not available many other places. The one room cabin has 4 twin beds. Our campsite is located on the hill behind Terlingua Ghost Town, 1/2 mile from Restaurants and shopping. Campfires are allowed. We have a composting toilet on the campground and an outdoor shower available. The view from your campsite is a 360 degree panoramic view of the Big Bend region complete with a sunrise over the Chisos and a sunset in the Chihuahuan desert of Mexico. The road to the campsite is unpaved. Take it slowly, any car will make it. One tent per site, please. Tent not included.

Sheltered camping in the Terlingua Ghost Town, #3

We just constructed this shelter for camping to provide shade and wind block. It is large enough for a tent, or can be used as a kitchen/dining area, or both if your tent is small enough. We have 2 other camping spots, and an RV spot on our compound, there are 2 full bathrooms that are shared. Please....no paper or any other products down any of the compound's toilets . All of our toilets have bidets. We are within walking distance to everything in town.
