Pancho Villa - Tin Valley Retro Rentals

MayraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had an amazing time at Tin Valley, the retro Airstream was very cute and equipped with everything needed to have a comfortable stay. The surroundings of the property provided a peaceful and great scenery to disconnect and enjoy the simplicity of just being present. Ronda was very friendly, accommodating and a great communicator both in person and through the site messages :) I will definitely be back

Fabulous views, lovely toilets and shower and close to the National and State parks just above the Terilingua Ghost town. A Great option for camping. Marc was a great help sorting out which of his spots was best for our mix of a car and 2 solo tents.

Retro Rents Painted Ladies, Betty

NiravRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This is a great spot to stay while visiting the Big Bend area. The RVs are fun and match the personality of the area. If you drive an electric vehicle (Tesla or other), this is an EXCELLENT spot to stay. They have NEMA 14-50 outlet and all you have to do is bring your charging cable. Made it super convenient and easy to visit the park and the entire area in my EV. The location is perfect: right in the middle of Terlingua, walking distance from the taco place and Starlight. It's just off a paved road that goes through town. The Park is not far (depending on which part you're going to). Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Big Bend.

Greatly enjoyed our time at the RV. Great night skies for stargazing. Even got some Milky Way shots! Easy to find. Very remote, but plenty of other people nearby. Also saw some wildlife during our stay. Very relaxing.

The Flamingo RV w/ Great Views + Patio

EllenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were so happy with this place. Gladys (Wally) really thought of everything. Her amenity description listed more than just the basics, but we didn't need to use ANY of the cooking supplies we had brought because they were all provided. I mean....every last detail was covered. The WiFi was unexpectedly great. We did not have a single issue, but if we had, Rick and Wally live close by. The indoor space was cute and comfortable and the outdoor space was set up for anything you'd like to do. We grilled steaks, we stargazed, we watched sunrises and sunsets while drinking coffee and wine. We even ate dinner out on the porch because breeze created a comfortable climate. It was a short drive into Terlingua and an easy drive into Big Bend National Park. We hope to come back to this area again, and we will most definitely stay here again. 10/10 Highly recommend!

The Terlingua Bus Stop

AngelaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Bus Stop truly embodies the glamping lifestyle. Some things to take note of: mentioned in the listing, but I’ll say it again - this renovated military bus is situated between BBNP & BBRSP. It’s about mid-way between Terlingua & Lajitas. The silence is GLORIOUS & the surroundings are beautiful. The rock road to the unit is 2 to 3 miles off the main highway. We did not mind. We did not utilize the outside shower as some vegetation was taking over, but it would definitely have been private. We had a couple of issues that Thomas addressed immediately. Their response time was impressive. If you have sunshades for your vehicle, I’d recommend to bring them for the front windows of the bus. Someone would have to be close to see inside, but we found they helped with the late afternoon heating up the unit. Bring washcloths, paper towels, and body wash. Overall, we enjoyed the peace & would stay again.

RV1 - rv NOT included - Tin Valley Retro Rentals

DaniRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I don't think there is a spot better in the Big Bend area to stay and camp than Ronda's spot. It is surrounded by mountains on all sides, there is running water, a shower, so much solitude, and every day we drove back to our campsite it felt like coming home. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone coming into the area! We will be back :)

HighView campsite -High clearance vehicle only

SarahRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The location was great. Easy to get to Big Bend and was given very clear directions with recommendations on where to shower. We loved the views and the privacy. It was very rocky, which that is stated in the description of the place. The large rocks helped to tie everything down. The ground was uneven but that was the only thing that was hard to deal with. I am a total city girl and this was my first time to camp. It was a great value for the location of the campsite and how close it is to Big Bend. Thank you for an eventful camping trip.

Electric Ladyland, Terlingua Ghostttown

DannyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Daniel's rental was exactly as seen in the pictures. It was very clean and 1 of a kind. No light pollution, stars and camp fire was exactly what we needed coming from the city. If you don't want to grill, there is an excellent little cafe called Venga in walking distance that serves food and coffee from 7am -5pm. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends, family and community.

Big Bend views from Terlingua ghost town

RachelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If you are looking for a place to stay, that is near big Bend, but has running water and air conditioning, this is the place for you! It was just isolated enough to where we got the full experience of being alone in the beautiful scenery and just proximal enough to restaurants and a convenience store with everything we needed. We woke up every morning before sunrise and saw the Milky Way and more stars and we had ever seen in our entire lives!! Close enough to big bend to drive in every morning and be the first ones to every trail. Amazing sunrise and sunsets from the little patio at the Airbnb! Colin was very responsive and provided ample recommendations. If you are visiting Big Bend, I cannot think of a more perfect place to stay.

We had a great stay in Terlingua! Sue and Joe were fantastic hosts — everything was clean and well taken care of. The location is perfect, and we really appreciated that the trailer was under a roof, which helped a bit with the heat. The extra bathroom was spotless and very welcoming.

The Bodega

MaxamillionRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place is great, BUT you really need to make sure you have a vehicle that is capable of the 30-40 minutes of off road it takes to get here. Brent does list this in the description and it is crucial. Besides getting there it is extremely peaceful with no other houses in sight. A great set up for a remote location.
