Vacation rentals with a pool in Big Bear Lake

This was such a great place to stay. A stylish, well equipped & well loved home in a really special location. Highly recommended. The only downside for us was the full moon that spoiled the star gazing!

We had an incredible stay at this Joshua Tree retreat. The full-length glass windows offered breathtaking views of the rocky desert landscape—sunrises and sunsets were unforgettable. The pool was perfect for cooling off in the summer heat, and the entire space felt serene and private. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the bathrooms were spotless and thoughtfully stocked with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Beds were very comfortable, and the home was peaceful and quiet, yet just a 7-minute drive to the 29 Palms Highway. Highly recommended—would definitely stay here again!

The home and the property are even more beautiful than the pictures show. The property is at the end of a dirt road that can seem a bit difficult to find but with the host instructions it leads you right to the property without issues. Every room of the house was clean and set up perfectly with many places to relax and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. We made use of the pool, jacuzzi, game room, backyard dining table, and fire pit which were all amazing amenities. The host was also very proactive and responsive making us feel secure even though we had no issues. Highly recommend!

The view was absolutely stunning and made our stay truly special. Any minor imperfections were easily overlooked thanks to the beautiful scenery and relaxing atmosphere. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-prepared for a pleasant stay. The host was kind and responsive, making everything smooth and easy. We would gladly return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at Skyline Ridge. The home is beautiful and was extremely clean upon arrival. There are lots of wonderful places to lounge around on the property, all with different views of the surrounding mountains. The home is well setup for relaxing with super comfortable beds and couches. We had some small issues during our stay but Homestead Modern responded quickly to our concerns, and while they weren't able to fix certain issues during our stay the overall experience was still wonderful. I will say that the aerial picture is a bit misleading. I think this is an older photo and there are several other properties (some seem to be other Airbnbs) closer to the home than that it would indicate. That being said it's still a peaceful area and I would reccommend it.

Our little family had a great stay at Poppy Ranch. A few snags came up but were handled quickly and efficiently by the hosts and we felt very taken care of. The place has great energy and our girls were sad to leave :). Thanks again!

This was our second time staying at this gem of a property. It's truly a special place -- a soul-replenishing oasis in the desert. And its location is perfect. Walkable to Pappy & Harriet's and Pionertown's mane street, yet just far enough away that you don't see or hear any of what's going on there. The view from the pool is gorgeous. The privacy screening around the property is incredibly well thought out. The hosts are perfectly responsive and helpful. We will definitely come back again!

The place was better than expected. The Livingroom was spacious and comfortable and with a Pacman arcade game! The sleeping was comfortable too. Also, was happy to see the jacuzzi was working well and fun sledding area for the kids out back.

We loved the condo and especially the pool. (Instructions or map on where the pool is and that we needed a key would be helpful, but we managed to figure it out.) Overall we liked the location and were generally comfortable. The bathrooms on every floor were convenient. If we had some cons it would be the following and these could easily be resolved with better instructions maybe... We could not figure out how to work the heater (instructions would be helpful). The first night we were freezing and the second night we were so hot upstairs but my assistant downstairs was freezing. Did not know if there was wi-fi available. The TV downstairs was confusing to use. But we eventually figured it out. Other than that, it was everything we needed for a great girls trip. We are hoping to buy a place in big bear soon so we were happy to check out the local neighborhood and loved that everything was nearby.

We stayed here for the Spartan race weekend. The location was ideal for the race, the unit is clean and cozy, and has all necessary amenities. The hosts communicated clearly and were easy to reach if needed. We would stay here again!

We loved the space, very comfortable and pleasant we spent the day in the mountains and when we returned we felt at home.

We spent a great night at the location. It was spacious and quiet. The check in was remote so we didn’t need to go to the host’s office before we enter the building. The check in process was fast (signing two pages online) and the host was always available to help. The garbage disposal location was a 2mins drive from the building, which was super convenient considering that there are only three disposal place on the mountain. The two bathrooms were both great and the hot water was enough for our 6 after a day snowboarding in BBMR (which was one of the most important things for us). The only potential difficulty was that there were two rooms on the 2nd floor but the 2nd floors’ bathroom was in the room with the king sized bed. If anyone lived in the other room on the second floor wanted to use the bathroom, they must enter the main bedroom or go downstairs. This was not a big problem for us though. Overall, we had a great stay and the place is worth a 5 stars.
