Welcome to the Franconia Wilderness Lodge! Don’t pass up on this lovely private property in Franconia. Bring your family and friends for a weekend in the heart of the White Mountains, nestled in the woods off a winding dirt road adjacent to the river. The cabin is located across the street from Gale River and close to Franconia Notch State Park, Crawford Notch, minutes from Cannon Mountain and close to multiple other ski mountains, hiking trails, breweries, and many other attractions!

The kitchen was well equipped and we made several very elaborate meals. The washer/dryer was also very helpful. Extremely close to Cannon Mountain, also close to Franconia which is a very quaint town. Also recommend Polly's Pancake House and Schilling Brewery which are close by.”
The 'Airbus' is a vintage 1987 Volkswagen Syncro Vanagon. The Vanagon is set up on a platform in the trees, with a beautiful view of Mount Washington! It has a private bathroom with hot shower, sink and compost toilet. The van has a comfty bed , a mini fridge and small table. There is also a small heater for cooler nights. Outside table with chairs under an umbrella as well.

What guests are saying:“Thoughtfully designed mid-century gem where Bauhaus meets the American cozy cabin . Excellent place for a few days getaway from the city and to be in the nature. All furniture and rooms are impressively well-decorated with very thoughtful details, especially the Eastern bloc pieces around the house. We are very pleased with our stay and would come back. The only issue that can easily be fixed was the lack of any coffee in the house. We would much prefer to avoid a trip to the grocery store to have a cup of coffee.”
