Family-friendly vacation rentals in Berea

Leslie's home was great. It was in a great location and Leslie was easy to get hold of when we had question. There were a couple of minor issues that were easily sorted out, like the location of the stove switch and the keys to one of the sliding doors. The only downside, had to do with the parking - there was something that dripped from the parking ceiling onto my windscreen and bonnet and I'm struggling to remove it.

The place was great, even better than the pictures. All the amenities listed were available and so much more. It’s a dream for young kids, because of the large pool and yard space to run around. The communication was great, all our questions were answered very quickly. The place was spotless and remained so for our entire stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. Definitely recommend 10/10

Home from home! What a gem of a place. Situated in a prime location with all amenities nearby. What suited us was the birdlife and the tranquility of the setting. Shirley-Ann is a delightful host and, after a month-long stay, we are now firm friends and will stay connected. There is not a negative aspect to report: only a rave review of a rare find! Jannes place is was perfect for myself and my 4 legged companion. We both felt right at home immediately and Janne was quite quick with responses with the very minor questions I had. Jannes place is definitely something to book if you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, well kept space. Definitely keeping this listing on a short list for future Durban visits. Aleks is an awesome host, she thinks of all the small things that we will need, that's what made our stay great, we felt very much at home. The only downside to this beautiful home is the driveway, it's very narrow and steep and a challenge to get up. Our stay was really really great, thank you Aleks...

Loved my stay here! Marian, Mauro, and Hajra (housekeeper) are extremely friendly and attentive. Not only are they great hosts but I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them. The unit was actually better than the pictures. I booked this place initially because it’s one of the few Airbnb’s that offered everything… A/C, fast WiFi, backup power, a full kitchen, gas stove, separate bedroom and living space, etc. My biggest priority was safety and this unit was extremely secure being in the back of the property with lots of gates and cameras. I don’t think there is any other Airbnb in the area that matches up to it. I would absolutely stay here again!

The location was good, the house was jolly good, Essy was mega helpful, the facilities were fine, the grounds were delightful, the cottage next to the house was a pleasure, the gates worked well, and it was a decent place to stay. I thought it was useful value for the money. Before you arrive though you need to find a contact WhatsUp number because Roger was in Canada and the intercom at the gate didn't function. But that was a small thing. I'd be happy to go back again.

we had the most amazing holiday, I have fallen in love with Umdloti. The beach water was lovely and warm, the weather was just perfect and everywhere was so easy to get to. The apartment was just perfect, the views in the morning was to die for. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us, we loved it.

Staying at Duncan's place for our festive holiday enabled us to make great memories, enjoy the fabulous layout and convenient amenities. The pool was perfect for cooling down in the hot weather and then relaxing in the tranquil garden. We appreciated the security and safety features too. The home is on a quiet street, with great views of the sea in the distance and a bit of the cityscape. Duncan and Kate are great communicators, always available to respond to messages to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We'd love to stay again in future.

We stayed at 22 Kyalanga for a few weeks. For many years I had stayed at another apartment in Umhlanga, but the steps there finally made it inaccessible for my wife. Kyalanga was billed as essentially wheelchair-accessible, and it was indeed so. The apartment is spacious and very well located with great views of the Ocean and a large patio with a BBQ. The gardens and pool area are very well maintained and it's a short walk to the promenade and also to the main restaurant area in Umhlanga.

Very friendly host. we felt home away from home. place was same as described with online pics. Very peacefule place. Definitely recommended for family with children.

Our second stay at Filip’s place. Again, great location with everything you need. Beautiful views. Filip was a great host and the apartment is perfect. Walking distance to beach, restaurants, and pubs.

Look i have not travelled a lot to Airbnb's but Tom and LIz has set the standard for me and its the small details that they think of in their place, the phone charge the small light, its truly as they say its the small thing that count. Will i book again when iam in Durban 120%, It close to the university and a walkable distance to the shops in the surrounding. see you again
