Beautiful schoolhouse, North Uist, Outer Hebrides

RosyRating, 5 stars85 months ago
The Schoolhouse is exhisite. If you think the photos are good, the space is even more impressive in reality. A perfect place to relax with friends. Every detail has been considered for maximum style and comfort. Pierson was readily available for questions and the house is full of maps and details on local amenities and inspirations. The location is well positioned a short 15 minute walk to a stunning remote beach. Myself and my friends couldn't recommend staying at Tigharry Schoolhouse more!

Award-winning eco beach-house and sauna

JaneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The bird hide was an absolutely magical place to stay. The huge picture windows look right across the foreshore and across the sea to the islands. It was wonderful to sit on the relaxing seating with a glass of wine, watching the short eared owl hunting at dusk, and the multitude of wading sea birds and gulls. The sauna was a real treat after a day walking along the coast. The house is well equipped, and the bed comfortable with amazing views out to sea. The coastline up to Berneray is beautiful, there are views across to St Kilda and West Beach on Berneray was spectacular. Don't miss a real treat.

Wow, what a fantastic location and cosy cottage. The children were delighted to find the games room which meant a lovely relaxed holiday for the grown ups! James and Chippie were both so helpful and accommodating of our needs and Benbecula and North Uist were simply stunning.

A beautiful and well-equipped cottage in a beautiful location. Medi kindly contacted us to let us know there was possible disruption to the ferry but we arrived as scheduled and had a wonderful fortnight walking, swimming and exploring during the day and relaxing in front of the wood burning stove in the evening.

Balranald View - a Hebridean haven.

We stayed here whilst working at Benbecula Airport and we were blown away at how beautiful the location and the accommodation was. Photos don't do it justice, lovely views from the bedrooms and very clean. The bottle of wine was a lovely touch and very much needed after the travel to Benbecula. The welcome pack with info on how to access the property as well as all the helpful tips and contact details was extremely useful. Thanks Carmel, we had a wonderful stay at your lovely home.

Hiort Pod (Baleshare Bothies) Dog Friendly

KirsteenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Magic from start to finish! Loved being on the croft, hearing cows alongside redshanks and lapwings and the sound of the sea over the dunes. Easy to get to beach by path round the field. Pods are lovely, everything we needed (including wood and kindling so we could have a wee fire outside in the evening) and when we had a question it was answered and sorted straight away with no hassle. 100% will be back. Thank you.

Easter Byre, Uist’s stunning West coast

PamelaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay at Easter Byre. Such a peaceful location. The cottage has been restored to a beautiful standard and was very well appointed, especially in the kitchen. The welcome pack was much appreciated. We didn't meet Jacqueline but her husband John was very helpful and attentive. They also laid on the weather and we saw North Uist at it's best! We even enjoyed a meal outside on the lovely garden furniture. The views of St Kilda from the nearby viewpoint were the best we've ever seen and we roamed as far as Berneray, Grimsby, Benbecula and the north end of South Uist. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Charming two bedroom cottage in Waternish, Skye

MarkRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our family of four spent a magical week in Scotland at several different places and this was our favorite. We felt immediately peaceful in what felt like our own bay. Loved the views, the sheep/cows, and the touches like a wood burning fireplace. Would recommend to anyone who wants to “get away”. Loved it!

Secluded forest retreat-Uist-Outer Hebrides-Stag

Magical! That’s the only truthful way of describing this place. It is extraordinarily beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. You’ll have world wonders at your door step, but you might just want to stay and enjoy the place given how magical it feels. If that was not good enough, Kathryn and Angus are the most lovely and generous host you can ever get, making you feel right at home in their beautiful forest. I’ll be coming back as long as I can!!!

Taigh Morangie

Had a lovely 4 nights here exploring the area. The cottage was perfect for us and had everything we needed. The secure garden was much enjoyed by our mini labradoodle. We especially enjoyed the nearby beaches and walks around the lochs especially loch skipport and Arinaban woodland. We enjoyed seeing a wide range of birds; the short eared owls were a special treat for us as we had never seen them before. neve

We were met by Lorna and Iain who gave us a warm welcome and were very accommodating. There were lots of great walks and beautiful scenery on Berneray and North Uist and the beaches were to die for. We would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay on the isle of skye! Everything looked like the picture. When in the hot tub you only see a small amount of the ocean due to a large bush but that was the only thing in the photos that didn’t match. Overall very private, clean and enjoyable. Only a 30min drive to Portree.

The house on the Isle of Skye was more than big enough gorgeous four or even five people. The cozy living room was great for the evenings. The company, holidaycottages, was very professional and gave us all the information we needed. And in case of an emergency or other needs, the phonenumber of the owner was available as well. The view from the house was amazing as well and the wood stove and the jacuzzi were great bonuses. Would definitely book again!

The Sheiling,Scalpay,Harris-Luxury House/Hot Tub

JuliaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Beautiful home base for a family trip to Harris, the house had lovely amenities (including Lewis chessmen game which surprisingly provided more entertainment than the massive TV for the 10 year old with us). The house was extremely clean with plenty of towels/bedding. The kitchen was lovely with everything you could ever need. The hot tub takes a long while to heat but as long as you know and prepare for that it's all good!
