Family-friendly vacation rentals in Belize City

Zenaidas place was very convenient to get to the airport from and everything in the city was close. I had no trouble getting in contact with her and the pool was very nice looking even though we didn’t swim.

Passengers on our flight directed us to the wrong house (Michael has many), but Michael quickly helped get us to the right spot. Terrific location with easy access to everything at a great price.

We booked very spontaneously as we had to cancel another location, because of its bad conditions. Bobbi reacted extremly fast and flexibly, was very warm, friendly and helpful, gave us a great welcome. We loved our appartment, it was so well equipped and very charmingly decorated. We had the best time there and can only highly recommend it. Great to have the pool and the bikes included as well. And, additional treat, there was a mixer in the kitchen, so we could make our own daiquiris with fresh mangos/papayas etc - loved it!

This was my third stay at the Tortuga Azul. I’ve come down with friends to dive and relax. The location is very close to the Caulker airport, just a short walk. I would definitely recommend renting a golf cart though. Most of the action in town is a short ride away, and for super early morning dive departures, it’s nice to be able to ride. There is a restaurant basically next door, Suggestion Gourmet. Its not the typical island fare, more of a French place, but it’s the most serene setting. I can’t speak to all of the beds, but the one I’ve slept in every year has been comfortable. The rooms all have individual AC, so you can sleep at your own preferred temp. The property manager, Michael, is quick to respond via What’s App. I will continue to stay at Tortuga for my repeat trips to the island.

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment is located in a quieter part of the island, which was perfect for a peaceful night’s sleep. During our stay, we were able to use bicycles (free of charge), making it easy to get around the island. The host was very pleasant and responded quickly to any questions we had. The apartment was extremely clean and was cleaned again halfway through our stay. Additionally, it was well-equipped with plenty of towels and kitchen utensils. I would 100% recommend this place!

Me and my friends had a great stay at the cottage! The pool is nice, and everything is walkable at the island. I would definitely come back. Only note: Please consider, that Google Maps can‘t find the street and unfortunately the GPS coordinates aren‘t correct on airbnb. So make sure before you arrive, that you know the correct location of the cottage.

It was lovely and helpful that the host arranged for direct water taxi with our luggage to the house. The quiet refuge on the north island was a great contrast to the hustle of the south part of the Caye. While there getting around on foot and by water taxi worked well, unless you want to see the estuary on the very north side of the Caye, in which case a bike is a good idea. There were several walkable restaurant options and a small convenience store near the split. We didn’t use the kayak and paddle boards, but the pool was great for heat relief and AC in the bedrooms was nice too. Walter, the caretaker, was super helpful and brought us fresh coconuts / coconut water. Really enjoyed Mario’s snorkel tour.

Great location and free bikes! Check in was easy and everything as described. We weren’t leaving the island till later in the day and we were allowed to check out late and use the pool for no extra charge which was great!

Mir hat es sehr gut bei Laura gefallen. Ihre Servicedame ist freundlich und nett. Besonders zu erwähnen ist, dass mein Mann die dritte von drei Nächten ohne zusätzliche Kosten mit im Zimmer übernachten konnte, obwohl ich nur für mich gebucht hatte. Dankeschön dafür :-)

We enjoyed our stay in Dena's place. She always reacted fast when we had questions. The cabin had everything we needed. Water pressure could be better but we managed. It is away from the city center so the bikes that come with the cabin are very handy. There is a supermarket close by. We can recommend hawks nest.

This was my second time staying at OASI Apartment Rentals, and it won’t be my last! From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was coming home. The property is absolutely stunning — lush, tropical landscaping surrounds the apartments, creating a peaceful, private oasis that perfectly matches the name. The grounds are beautifully maintained and full of vibrant plants and local charm. The apartments themselves are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It’s the perfect balance of cozy and functional, whether you’re lounging after a day of exploring or prepping a quick snack before heading out. The staff here are beyond wonderful — so friendly, warm, and always willing to help with anything you need. They truly go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome and taken care of, and it really sets OASI apart. Caye Caulker itself is such a gem — great food everywhere you turn fresh seafood, local flavors, and beachy cocktails!

Everything was perfect the only thing you gotta worry about is making sure you lock the front door with the key because if you just lock it front the knob the door can be opened like nothing, it is not safe, you must lock with the key, but besides that everything was good

Amelia’s place was great! Had the good weather stuck around would have been even better, but that doesn’t reflect on the property. Thankfully we had a great house to stay in because of the weather. Loved hanging out in the hammocks and walking on the pier and checking out the sea creatures. There was a lil juvenile local crocodile hanging around out by the pier we got to see a couple times. Couldn’t get a good picture though because he wants nothing to do with people. All in all it was great stay and visit. rooms are big and spacious. A.C worked great. We had two boys, 5 and 8 and me and my wife. It was perfect. Would stay again.

we had a really great stay for 3 nights with our 2 young kids. the location is great, easy to walk to anything you need. Stuart helped arrange a golf cart taxi to and from the water taxi, and Danny greeted us and was really helpful. there was a pack and play for us, the unit was really clean, comfortable, and in great working order. great spot if you're traveling with kids and want an extra bedroom and space to lounge and eat in.

The place was great, private locked yard with a pit for cooking. Before the Bahia so easy to get to every place on foot. Space was clean and everything worked. AC is extra, but the place didn’t get overly hot.

Frank is a wonderful host! He picked me up at the bus station, took me to a local pizzeria for me to get some takeout, and then showed me around all the local spots I can visit as I only had one day before leaving Belize City. He let me ride his bike around the city. On my day of departure, he dropped me off at the airport!

Very very clean and spacious place! The house is gated and you are given a gate key for access in and out at any time. The host were nice and welcoming . Def . Saved into my stays for future use

Expectations were exceeded. This location cannot be beat. we will definitely be booking again. The rooftop hot tub was gorgeous/relaxing and so was the balcony. Thank you for a wonderful vacation getaway.

Carolyn was the best Airbnb host I have worked with. I have stayed in Airbnb properties all over the world, this was the best. Her attentiveness and fast responses made our stay that much easier. She had fresh flowers in the apartment as a special touch and the property was very clean. Washer & Dryer located on site free of cost. This neighborhood was very safe and just a short walk to a mini grocery store. I accidentally broke a light in the bathroom and Carolyn was fully understanding and I will compensate her for the repair. Carolyn's units are extremely clean, I had the chance to meet the housekeepers and they were very nice and attentive. I hope to stay here again when I return to Belize. Thanks again Carolyn!

Couldn’t have asked for a better location in Caye Caulker. The proximity to the water taxi, restaurants, and activities was such a plus. We used and enjoyed all the amenities, loved the views and slept comfortably. Five stars, will definitely stay here again in the future.

Una estancia muy agradable. Pasamos unos días estupendos en nuestra cabaña, que tenía todo lo que necesitábamos para desconectar y relajarnos. El gran punto a favor es, sin duda, la piscina: impecablemente limpia y muy bien cuidada. La ubicación también es ideal, cerca de todo lo necesario en la isla. Como punto de mejora, mencionaríamos las ventanas, que son tipo persiana en lugar de cristal. Al abrirlas para dejar entrar la luz natural, también entra el ruido y el polvo de la calle. El anfitrión fue siempre muy amable y atento, y tuvo la cortesía de ser flexible con nuestro horario de check-out, lo cual agradecimos mucho. Y como detalle encantador: el gato que vive en el terreno. Muy cariñoso, nos buscaba constantemente para que lo mimáramos. ¡Lo vamos a echar de menos!
