Great little spot. Short walk to a lovely beach, so peaceful and pretty. We were going to a wedding at the Connemara Coast hotel and it was a great base to do some further exploring from. Friendly and helpful hosts!

Oceanfront Oasis . Free Parking

Patrick and BernieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a modern apartment in a secure building, right on the seafront at Salthill. Nearby free public car park, so we left our car for the duration and either walked to the West End (30 mins) for entertainment, or took the 401 bus (15 mins). Lots of local eating, drinking and music venues. Lifeguard station at the beach, but we eschewed swimming this particular weekend. Very comfortable bed, sunspot with chairs on an enormous balcony, allowing privacy. Would highly recommend.

The Westend Hideaway #2 - Sleeps 4

AllisonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Absolutely loved our stay here! It was a nice size and the host was so helpful with easy check in instructions and local recommendations. Would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Galway. Pros: Location is perfect, very central and walkable to everything we wanted to see. Clean and comfortable place, very spacious and kitchen had everything you’d need and more! The beds were also very comfortable which was a huge plus too. Very easy to settle in and feel at home Cons: It was a bit noisy at night because of some of the local bars, occasionally until 1am. Plus, the shower was a tad small and we occasionally had some trouble with the hot water. But overall we really enjoyed our stay! We’ll be back! :)

John's little cottage was beautiful. The views from the cottage stunning. To be able to hear and see the ocean was so tranquil. John was extremely friendly and came to my rescue as I got a flat tyre . My dog Duke loved the beach he explored it for hours . If you want peace and quiet with the most beautiful views John's cottage is a must . I definitely will be going back again . Tbh I didn't want to leave there.

We loved our stay at this property. Claire is a wonderful host and left us a very nice welcoming bottle of wine and nuts. The home is quite large and easikt accommodated 4 adults. Communication was very easy and Claire responded quickly to all of our questions. The home is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood and is a 10 minute drive into Galway City. We loved our stay and would love to stay there again when visiting Galway.

We fell in love with the Gatehouse immediately. The pictures actually don't do it justice - the kitchen blew us away as we stepped into it. The place was spotless clean and such a warm reception with the fire on and fresh cut bread available in the kitchen. It is the little things that make a difference and Rod has a great attention to detail. The location is ideal with a short hop to the village the the beach access to the rear of the house. Rod is a super host and we will definitely be booking the Gatehouse again for another stay in the very near future. Thanks again! Stephen Maguire

Designer Luxury in the Woods

KarenRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We booked this magnificent home for a portion of our family to attend a vow renewal in the area, and it was everything that we hoped for. With four bedrooms, two living rooms, a huge kitchen and eating space, and gorgeous grounds - the entire group was able to stay comfortably, and enjoy cooking and sharing meals together, without being on top of each other. The furnishings are also very well done. Anne and Maree were extremely helpful, and always available to answer questions. I can highly recommend this listing to others.

This was the perfect place to call home for our few days in County Galway. We hope we can make it back one day!!

Me, my cousin and his two young sons stayed at Gail and Antoine's house in Garmna, right in the middle of the islands in Connemara. We had a warm welcome from the first day not only from Gail and Antoine but also from their neighbors. The house was veryclean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The bedrooms were to a high standard and the place was veryconvenient for the fishery, our reason for coming. Antoine was extremely generous with his time and advice. We loved the pool table in the evening. The atmosphere was always relaxed and welcoming. I highly recommend anyone who would like a trulyIrish experience in beautiful Connemara. We will undoubtedly be back!

Perfect Getaway on Inishmore

MajaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The accommodation is thoughtfully equipped, clean and comfortable, which made us feel right at home. It is located almost in the middle of Inishmore, which makes it a good base for exploring the island on a bicycle (mind the direct route to the house is considered harder than the path along the coast). It has a beautiful beach within a walking distance. Sinéad is a welcoming and proactive host and was available to answer any questions we had before and during our stay.

We can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was! Mairead was warm and welcoming and her place was perfectly cozy and fully equipped. We were able to walk to a local pub, a grocery store to cook, and the beach ( about 10-15 minutes). We also conveniently were able to take a bus to nearby Galway and Au Spiddal, a cute little craft town. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get away to the countryside with easy access to city life!

Beautiful one bed apartment in excellent location

Catherine C.Rating, 5 stars1 month ago
I was looking for a quiet and yet beautiful spot to relax . Matthew's place was above and beyond my expectations. I was arriving on my own in Spiddal for the first time and a bit worried about finding the apartment and getting in. Matthew gave me detailed information and pictures of entering the apartment.. It couldn't have been easier!! And so secure. The apartment itself is beautiful. I felt so at home. The views and walks are hard to describe in words, so lovely. People in Spiddal are extremely welcoming. Groceries, pubs and the bus are a few steps away. In a few words, I can't wait to go back and definitely hope I can stay at the apartment. My home away from home. Thanks Matthew!!
