Beautiful sea view and peaceful stay! Loved the space and how it’s maintained. Very cozy and warm for a getaway. Jaye & Scott have been responsive, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to all those who are looking for a warm place and great sea view!

Location is wonderful. The beach, Cape Breton National Park, shopping, and restaurants are all close by. The owners provide games and DVDs that are kid friendly so it’s a great set up for families.

Wonderful place to stay. We met some less than ideal weather for adventuring with our 2 year old and couldn’t have picked a better spot to lay low for a couple nights. The space is beautiful and yet the setting steals the show. The team is working very hard to ensure the experience of staying at Ridge on the Chimney is a once in a lifetime.

Beautiful house by the ocean with a stunning view; the pictures don't do it justice! Clean, quiet, private. Accurate listing. Located at the center north of Cape Breton Island, therefore convenient to explore west and east coast while staying in one place!

Big Harbour Hideaway is situated on an inlet of the Bras D’Or Lake with little boating activity so it was quiet. The dock is very solid and does not move with the tide, there were four Adirondack chairs on the dock with a few more available near by. Across the inlet is a really nice view of gypsum cliffs. There were bald eagles and even a seal! The house felt comfy and was well stocked with toilet paper, paper towelling, tissue, garbage bags, pots and pans, cutlery, etc. The beds were quite comfortable and although there is no air conditioning the breeze off the water was all we needed to cool the bedrooms at night. Although the house is on a well there was plenty hot water and the water pressure was really good. It felt homelike and it doesn’t get better than that! There is no cable tv, but I believe you can hook up a device to it to watch movies or play games. There is a pretty serious Scrabble game on the coffee table. Baddeck is only 12-14 minutes away by car.

We stayed a week in Nadene’s cottage in Ingonish and it was perfect for us. The location is excellent and the proximity to the beach and views are exceptional. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for cooking or grilling and the satellite TV was a bonus. We’ve stayed at a number of places over the years in Ingonish area and none are better than Nadene’s. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Had all basic necessities in the house. Andrea was helpful when we had any questions. Since it's near waters a bug spray will be really helpful.

We had a wonderful time in Cheticamp. John was helpful for suggestions about hiking and restaurants. I would highly recommend his beautiful place.

Ein wunderschönes Cottage, mit allem, was man braucht. Wir haben uns die 2 Tage sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage am Meer ist einmalig und es war wunderbar ruhig. Der Check in war völlig komplikationslos und Aaron jederzeit erreichbar, sofern wir eine Frage hatten.

The host was available and hospitable. We were a group of 7 and the house was perfect for what we needed. We loved our stay there and we will keep precious memories of this stay. I highly recommend!

Amazing spot!! You feel so at home and yet you know this is a very special treat. The tiny house is so simple and beautiful. You are on a lovely field overlooking the ocean. You can see the stars and moon from the bed I chose. And listen to the ocean. My son and niece loved the bunk beds. And the lovely stone shower is one of many added touches that makes this private, peaceful getaway feel like a luxury.

We wouldn’t change a thing! The house was adorable, spotless, has a beautiful view and Vee left muffins and fruit in the house waiting for us! Loved being able to use a washer and dryer, everything seemed new and comfy, not like “leftovers” being used to decorate a rental. Do not pass on this home!!!

Highly recommend this stay if you are seeking peaceful nature and a relaxing stay. Eagle flights and sunset sights. Don’t wait to book it, you will not regret it!

WOW, WOW, WOW! What an incredible stay at the beach house. From the breathtaking views, to the amazing sleeps in the bunkie to the privacy and of course the outdoor shower! This was an experience everyone needs to have in my books. Plus, Cora is such a heartfelt, kind, responsive host/human. She made our stay as comfortable as possible. Chris's home is truly a slice of heaven! we spent a week in this beautiful chalet on a private beach. We use Airbnb a lot and this house and location was one of our favorite. SO peaceful and relaxing,SO comfortable and beautiful, really felt like home away from home for our large family. Right off the Cabot trail, we were able to take day trips around Cape Breton Island and enjoy everything the area had to offer. Chris was super helpful and communication was quick and easy. HIGHLY recommend this Airbnb!

This Airbnb was everything it said it was in the description and more. A great layout, well equipped with everything you need, easy access and a stunning view in a lovely town. Highly recommend!

My husband, our Bernese Mt. dog and myself stayed at this exceptional property. We travel frequently and this is without question our favorite Airbnb to date. We were welcomed with a sweet treat and wine. There were bowls & a comfy bed for our pup. I loved that the hosts send daily texts with itinerary suggestions. The ocean views are stunning. The beach is private and serene. The restaurant suggestions in the guidebook are wonderful. The Woodroad experience was fantastic. The property is about 30-35 minutes to enter the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The Skyline Trail is located about 15 minutes from the park entrance and a great day trip from the Airbnb. We also had easy access to the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail in Inverness for biking/hiking. Finally, we had the pleasure of meeting Scott who took the time to point out Pilot Whales in the cove which could be seen from the deck/hot tub. Every detail of this property is meticulously addressed. We can’t wait to stay again.
