Beachfront vacation rentals in Nova Scotia

Location, location, location. Such a beautiful, quiet spot on Bras D’or, we spent a lot of time just looking out over the water (it was cold out there, mind you). The cottage is charming and attractively furnished, and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Storage space is minimal, but lots of hangers for clothing. The washer and dryer were a real asset. We enjoyed our stay.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay in Nancy’s yurt. This was our second visit and we absolutely hope to come again. The location is absolutely stunning—tucked into peaceful nature, just a few steps to the ocean. It’s the kind of place that makes you actually exhale and unwind. The yurt itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully set up—everything we needed for a relaxing escape from the usual pace of life. Waking up to birdsong and falling asleep to the sound of the waves nearby was just perfect. Nancy was a kind and welcoming host, but also gave us all the space we needed to enjoy the quiet. If you’re looking for a calming, beautiful getaway surrounded by nature, this is it. Highly recommend—we already want to come back!

Very few places can be as lovely as this place is. Surroundings, weather, accommodation, amazingly cute animals and the most wonderful host. What a treat!! We loved the local grocery shopping and the bar as well.

This house is in a remarkable location and very comfortable. The stairwell to the second floor is a bit small but certainly adequate. Wendy is a responsive and helpful host. Family of 4 had a good visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cottage on Zwickers Lake. It was well situated near the lake with access to the kayaks and a canoe, which we enjoyed, especially when we spotted turtles and a baby duck near the shore line! We were in town for a Track & Field meet, and the kitchen was well equipped for our needs for preparing and cooking our own food. Overall we had a great experience at the AirBnB.

We booked this place to get away for a few days in the peace and quiet and spend some time outside. Tyler’s place was perfect. Very quiet and comfortable and there was a lot to do! Lots of places to explore and swim nearby and no complaints at all about the home. It was really nice and well taken care of. Perfect spot to recharge for a few days! Thanks Tyler

I just wanna start with the word Awesome’. I just love the cottage. Photos cant describe the art of this cottage.. Its on the whole next level. A huge place on a private area where nobody can be seen and we enjoyed our trip without any single issue. The hosts were amazin so helpfull and even they give us another 2 hours to stay just for $36 includes taxes which is great and alot cheaper. I recmnd everyone to check out this cottage and definitly book this one.. especially for big families. Thankyou! You made our trip great!

Shobac farm is a unique architectural and farm experience. It was great to have gaffs point and Hirtle’s beach within hiking distance. The sheep were a constant fascination for our pup. Appreciated having access to a lap pool, steam shower and sauna. Thoroughly enjoyed having a wood fire and enjoying and vast country side views from the gatehouse.

Absolutely stunning place. Extremely responsive and kind host. Lots of dishes, cookware, appliances to use. Extremely comfortable beds. Three pristine bathrooms. Clean fridge. Stellar and stunning ocean views! Perfect all around

Amazing hosts.. and they make this place feel like home, on the lake. You’re going to leave wanting your own lake house, and for neighbors half this good. Beautiful spot on the lake with kayaks and a firepit right by the water. Had everything we needed and the hot tub melted the stress away.

Spacious home perfect for our family. We felt comfortable the minute we arrived. The short walk to the water offered us opportunities to see some beautiful sunrises. This side of the island was quiet and peaceful as we arrived after tourist season. Close to beaches, Anne of Green Gables Heritage Park, and more. The home was clean and well stocked. great spot! hot tub was fabulous on a rainy windy weekend. stayed 2 nights and had a great time. lots of space indoors and outside. would highly recommend for families and group of couples wanting an oasis from the city life. thanks to both for being so flexible on a later checkout time as well!

The secret beach house was exactly as described and very comfortable. It is surrounded by beautiful beach and peaceful environment. The place has well stocked amenities in the bathroom and kitchen. Courtenay is a very gracious host and was able to accommodate our special request. She was very kind to provide the option of early check and late check out. This airbnb has high quality amenities and furnishings throughout. Courtenay is very friendly and responsive. Watching the ducks run through the yard was a pleasure to watch. They are adorable. Would recommend the place to anyone looking for an amazing guest experience.

What a little piece of paradise! We loved everything about the yellow house by the water and will be back! The accommodations are beautiful and exceeded expectations and it is perfectly situated a few minutes from Digby on one side and less tgan half an hour from Annapolis Royal. A very lovely and modern place to stay. While compact, it had everything we needed and more! A BBQ and Hot tub were great! The hosts anticipated EVERYTHING and left snacks, USB converters, lint removers and much more for us. The AC and hot tub were on and waiting for us when we arrived. The bed was awesome. Large and very comfy. A great place to stay, needing more than 1 night to enjoy !

Great place. One of my favorites that I have stayed at. Private and peaceful (make sure that is what you are looking for). We went for a staycation style and just enjoyed the views of the water and cooking at the place. We went out to dinner a couple of times, once was an hour round trip, and the other was a two-hour round trip -- we knew this going in, so no complaints. We would be open to going again in the future perhaps with another couple as the place is set up perfectly with nearly identical master suites with their own bathrooms and an additional third bathroom on the floor with the living room/dining/kitchen area—just a great innovative design and set-up with awesome windows and views. The hosts were also attentive to our needs and even left a nice surprise to welcome us after our long drive. I would highly recommend it.

Rob & Wanda were very accommodating and worked fast to book our family of 4 for a last minute stay. The cabin was well stocked, clean and very comfortable. The property was extremely well maintained. Lots of fun activities offered on site as well. Thank you Rob & Wanda - we had a great time!

We loved this place SO much. Our only regret is that we couldn’t book an extra night because someone else had already snatched it up! I highly recommend walking down the stairs to the water at low tide and then turning right to walk further down the shore. The red rock formations and tidal pools are truly exquisitely beautiful!

Absolutely loved our stay here!! Val was a very helpful and responsive host with great recommendations. We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay in this whimsical airbnb, and really enjoyed being on the water and getting to watch the boats. The wifi is very good here, and the house is really well stocked. We also really appreciated the welcome gift!

Had a great stay here! Perfect spot for a remote getaway on the lake. The home was modern and clean and was well stocked with everything you need to feel at home. Highly recommend a four wheel drive car for the driveway! Would love to return here in the summer or fall.
