We have two cottages, perfect for friends and family groups holidaying together. The cottage is full of character and charm. Relax by the wood-burning stove after a day in the fells or observe the plethora of wildlife directly from the house and listen to the sound of the stream and the birdsong. Just a short hop to Keswick and Cockermouth with fantastic independent shops.

Also on the ground floor is the well-equipped kitchen and shower room with shower, washbasin & WC. Outside there is an enclosed garden with picnic bench & BBQ. We are situated 5 minutes walk from Derwent Water and the Nicol End Marina for kayaking and water activities. Portinscale has a pub that serves food and a cafe. Our favourite eating places nearby are Swinside Inn and the Ivy Restaurant in Braithwaite. Keswick is a mere 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk for eating out, shopping and outdoor sports.
