Ideal for a short stay or a longer break in the lovely picturesque town of Sawbridgeworth, with railway links to London and Cambridge in 40 minutes. Trains also to Stansted Airport in 20 minutes. 10 minute walk in to Sawbridgeworth, where there are several great pubs & restaurants, and to the train station and bus stops. The recently converted Nissen Barn is located on a farm in its own private meadow. The barn is surrounded by the beautiful Essex countryside - rolling hills, ancient trees, wildflowers and grasses, hedgerows, horses and sheep. The conversion was completed in March 2021 and sleeps 4 adults in 2 big bedrooms. There is also a loft bedroom accessed by a hidden door with a king size mattress suitable for older children or couple. Perfect for families, but note there is no enclosed garden.

Eine wunderschöne Lage und traumhafte Unterkunft. Wir haben uns als Familie sofort wie Zuhause gefühlt. Die Wohnung verfügt über alles was man benötigt, war sehr sauber und hatte eine tolle Terrasse mit direktem Blick auf die Pferdewiesen. Auch die Gastgeberin war immer ansprechbar und einfach klasse. Wir kommen gerne wieder und empfehlen diese tolle Unterkunft jemdem, der auch einen ruhigen und entspannten Urlaub erleben möchte. Nebenan gibt es auch ein Spa!

Fabulous, self-contained lodge house

A fantastic stay. We were only looking for a relaxing one night stay to breakup our journey from France back to northern England. The description sounded perfect and we wasn’t disappointed. It is cosy yet spacious with a very comfortable bed and everything you need. It was nice to find tea/coffee and other basic items were supplied. It was nice to relax in the comfy lounge area after our long journey. The toilet and shower room are down stairs but this was no problem to us at all. The location is in a lovely scenic area surrounded by fields, unfortunately the weather prevented us from using the outside seating area. The White Hart pub is less than a 5 minute walk away and was recommended by our host. We weren’t disappointed as it was the special steak night. We are very tempted to go back to the accommodation to explore the area at a future date.

We stayed for 2 nights as we were attending a funeral at Old Park Meadow, just a few minutes drive away. This was a perfect place to return to after a sad day, lovely location by the brook and the surrounding countryside was very pretty. The apartment had everything that we needed, including a cafetière for fresh coffee in the morning. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. Great hosts.

This is a fantastic AirBnB in a quirky setting of the old grain silos. The setup is superb and the views are incredible over sunrise and sunset and the hot tub is an added bonus. Great communication from Simon before, during and after the stay. Would definitely go back.
