The Mia Mia, Newstead

CatRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were lucky enough to find Mia Mia while we were waiting to move into our new house so we had a lengthy stay. It was lovely to have such a homely place that was peaceful and comfortable. Fire for the colder nights, very comfortable beds, functional bathrooms, kitchen and laundry and we particularly enjoyed all the bird life around the home. A very easy walk into town to grab the necessities, a coffee or a pub meal. Thank you so much for your hospitality Bronwyn and Kieran.

Treetops 2 by Tiny Away

RATNAYAKE KosalaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Tiny Home nestled in a beautiful regional forest setting. It was the perfect peaceful getaway for us as a couple — secluded, serene, and surrounded by nature. Although the space is small, it’s incredibly well-designed with all the amenities you could need. The kitchen was equipped, the bed was super comfortable, and everything was clean. We especially loved the thoughtful touches throughout the place that made it feel cozy and welcoming. The location is idyllic — waking up to birdsong and the gentle rustle of trees was exactly the kind of escape we were looking for. It’s quiet, private, and you really feel like you’re away from it all. Highly recommend this Tiny Home for anyone wanting a relaxing retreat in nature with all the comforts of home. We would absolutely come back!

Enchanting log cabin in the woods

The pure definition of serenity! Beautiful inside and out and every inch thoughtfully detailed and styled. Susan’s property had even more than what was listed. The perfect space to relax with a glass of wine infront of the fire, read a book under the vines, so many gorgeous picnic spots. Susan has thought of everything, curated walking tracks, picnic rug already in the picnic basket, salts already ready for bath tub, games and books to relax with. Coffee machine ready for your morning coffee while watching the kangaroos graze in the sunlight. Bliss

Highly recommend staying at the Hut! Carla is a great host - the bread and home made jam was a lovely touch. The hut is cute and cosy and a short drive into Castlemaine. Thanks again, Carla.

Blue Wren Home - 3 beds

CraigRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Finding Blue Wren Cottage was easy. It was a cold day, but once inside it was lovely to find the fire already laid with matches on hand, so soon we were relaxing with a cuppa, and warming ourselves in front of a roaring fire. The kitchen was full of everything you'd need. Bedrooms were of a good size, with comfy and beautifly well made beds Bathroom clean with a good shower The garden was a great size, with a BBQ and seating, and if the weather had been warmer, an easy place to unwind in on those barmy autumn evenings. Newstead has an IGA, a butchers shop, a couple of cafes, and a pub (with 2x fires) that serves great food....all a short walk from the cottage. We had an all too short, 1-night stay, but will certainly look to return the next time we are in the area.
