The Gateway-Getaway is only about three miles from Mount Desert Island (MDI) where you will find Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor. The apartment is perfect for 1-2 people. You will stay in an efficiency apartment above our detached garage. Which is in a quiet location (although occasionally our dogs bark when outside). Welcome to Hidden Retreat! My goal is to make sure my guests are comfortable, happy and have everything they need! Your small private studio is approximately 10x14 plus the bathroom. Be aware that the room is small and has a private entrance. This room has a small kitchenette, microwave and refrigerator plus some other amenities. Coffee, tea and a few snacks are provided for your comfort. The bed is a queen size bed, which I'm told is very comfortable!!

This guest suite is located in the lower level of our NetZero post & beam home which sits on a mountain overlooking the Penobscot Bay. The over 600 sq. ft. large open floor plan is spacious & clean with a large private patio. The location is quiet and peaceful while only 5 minutes from the action in downtown Rockland and only 15 minutes from Camden. This is a great home base to explore all that the Midcoast area has to offer.
