Family-friendly vacation rentals in Bantry Bay

Our children loved the swimming pool and trampoline. The location is good and is a few minutes drive from Lions Head and the cable car station of Table Mountain. The property feels very safe and secure. Cathy is very proactive with her communication and very responsive to messages. I did find having to monitor and top up electricity usage a little inconvenient whilst on holiday, but Cathy was always on hand to assist with this.

What a wonderful time we had in Alex’s beautiful Higgovale House with its special atmosphere. A home from home we felt immediately at ease. The tropical gardens give the feeling of being in the midst of the jungle - despite being only minutes from the lively Kloof Street with its many restaurants and coffee shops (wine bar/coffee shop/deli Tamboerswinkel deserves a special mention). We felt very safe at night and enjoyed being able to access Cape Town‘s sights quickly. A highlight was our hike to Lions Head - again only a stone throw away from the house. Alex’s great communication throughout our stay was not surprising, given his friendly welcome and advice and whilst we didn’t stay long enough to get to know her, housekeeper Barbara also seemed very friendly and attentive. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay and Dale was a great host. The location is incredible and very walkable to beaches, restaurants and shops.

Beautiful home and a great space for a family or small group. Located just down the road from botanical gardens in a gorgeous neighborhood. Kitchen had everything we needed. Our group included a couple of small kids so we appreciated that there were plenty of at-home activities when we were not out and about in Cape Town (pool, hot tub, playground, smart TV, books). Wish we could’ve stayed longer — hope to come again!

This villa is simply amazing. We went with a group of 9 friends in mid December for 8 nights. The housekeeper Julius welcomed us and showed everything when we arrived. He also was there every day (except Saturday) and always available on Whats App. Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. We can highly recommend staying in this villa.

The location for the Tree House is simply fab!!! Views of the mountain from the house and quite centrally located to move around near hout bay, and even V&A was not too far! We’d go back in a heartbeat!

We were fortunate to have booked Glen Villa, as it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Mary-Louise greeted us with a warm smile, took us on a tour of the villa, and provided us with detailed information about everything it had to offer. The view was breathtaking and simply amazing, as advertised. The villa was spacious and ample, and it was cleaned every day. We were also offered a convenient laundry service on-demand. We want to express our deepest gratitude to Mary-Louise for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be returning to Glen Villa in the future.

This house is in a great location and has a really central city feel. We really enjoyed our stay here. The house has all essentials available and there is a lovely cafe across the road which does good breakfasts as well as other restaurants a few minutes walk away. It is well located in central Cape Town making all tourist attractions easily accessible. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We were very grateful for this as we locked ourselves out and within twenty minutes someone was able to open the house up and let us in again! Can really recommend the house to anyone who wants to get a feel for more central Cape Town.

Admittedly - the photos in the listing look too nice to be true, but if you are in the apartment, then everything is even better !!! This incredibly breathtaking view of Table Mountain and the bay - you don't really want to leave the apartment again. But that would also be a shame, because the close to the beach invites you to extensive walks and various restaurants and bars are within walking distance. The apartment itself is functional, smart and nicely furnished. Everything is very clean. The quality of the mattresses ensures a good night's sleep after intensive vacation days. The rental car can be safely parked on the premises. In short, I was there for four days and would have loved to spend a few days, but unfortunately the holiday was over. What a great end to the vacation! Thank you Liz !!!

I stayed in Dorette's flat for 5 months, and it really did feel like home. The neighbors in the apartment building were very friendly, the flat managed to remain cool during very hot days, the courtyard was very peaceful and private, and Dorette herself was very friendly and very responsive to my questions. I have fallen in love with the Vredehoek area, it is very peaceful (when it isn't windy!) and it was an enjoyable walk to the local grocery store and coffee shop.

Daleen's cottage is an absolute gem! Loved it!

Location of the house is great as it takes 7/8 mins driving to get to lions head and table mountain trails, 3/4 mins driving to get to camps bay beach, 10/12mins to get to beautiful Llandudno beach and then you are 8mins away from starting the magnificent drive to the peninsula with amongst the most picturesque and stunning views in the world. House is a three bed super comfortable and pool is great if you have kids that need to be entertained at all the time. We will come back

amazing place that allows easy access to most tourist spots in Cape Town whether city, camps bay, muizenberg, Simonstown and boulders. place is beautiful and has such a nice feeling for two families to spread out. Debbie was super responsive, checking in and out was more than accommodating for our needs. Highly recommend to all. Fantastic stay

This beautiful home, this slice of paradise, in the middle of a woodland-based suburban area where safety is something that is next to godliness. Staying at Taryn's little cozy house was an incredible experience for my wife and I. The fireplace, the crockery, the appliances, the massive bathtub, the feeling of home, the color-coordinated book nook, I could go on forever. This will definitely be an area that we will visit again, and this accommodation is by far the best that we've stayed in throughout the world for its elegance, for its class, for its personal touch, and for its modern simplicity. We cannot stress to you enough that our experience at this beautiful gem located in Cape Town in the gardens was something that we will never forget. Cozy blankets, warm fires, delicious food, and great company. The things that make a home.

We loved staying at Adri and Deon's place and left feeling refreshed and rested. The cottage is private, clean, well-equipped and you can access beautiful mountain trails from your front door. Thanks to the location and silence we slept better than we did in years. Lovely as all the amenities and the location is, the best thing about the place are the hosts. Deon and Adri are incredibly gracious, providing freshly ground coffee, muesli, home-baked bread and altogether good vibes. It felt like visiting really cool family who leave you alone to rest and enjoy the peace and quiet. We will most definitely be back.

Colettes place was exactly what we needed to get away from the city's hustle and bustle. It was so peaceful. There were so many toys my daughter could play with and very child friendly which I appreciate. The place was clean and very neat. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

We had a fantastic stay. Sindre was a great host, very helpful and kind and gave us great tips for Cape Town. The house felt very safe, with incredible views over camps bay and close to surrounding nature. Recommend to rent a car or use Uber to get around.

Fantastic home for two small families to share. Easy to walk into Camps Bay with all the amenities, lovely comfortable home with pool, everything we could have wished for. Really appreciated the flexible checkout with a later flight. Highly recommend. Rob was the perfect host.

The apartment is great in a good location in the Camps Bay area. The hosts are friendly and cooperative. One little note about the smell of the place, it smelled a little but we took care of it. Other than that the place is nice and I recommend it.

The condo was just like the pictures. Spacious and well stocked. The location was good, easy walk to the waterfront and felt very safe. Glad we stayed here.

We loved staying at Kim's place, which is perfectly located on a quiet street, but only a couple of blocks from the beach and incredible restaurants in Camps Bay. The house is clean and comfortable, and as a hostess Kim was incredibly helpful and responsive. We loved the ideal location, the beautiful garden and off-street parking that made coming and going a breeze. Our family of 6 had plenty of room throughout the house, and I'd highly recommend this listing to anyone looking for a great place for their next Cape Town trip! We'll definitely be back!

We escaped the city for Rose Cottage early on in our holiday, I was in need of the quiet serenity of the suburbs and Anthea’s home met all my needs and expectations. A slice of heaven in leafy floral Bischopscourt - just off from the Botanicsl Gardens. The perfect peaceful home to get away from the hustle and bustle, gorgeous pool area - and we LOVED Jordy the little dog coming to see us on a morning. We felt totally at home. Carol was an amazing host and has an amazing home with breathtaking views. It had everything we needed as a group. Top notch security, a heated pool, lots of space, an office room to work out of, gym and laundry room, and all the rooms were thoughtfully furnished, with comfortable beds. We also had help everyday we were there with cleaning up. On our arrival we had complementary fruits, coffee pods, charcoal/fire lighters, and even laundry detergent. Not many other hosts are that thoughtful. If we needed any help or had any questions, Carol was promptly available to help. She’s a great host. Overall, the property was great and we had a great break! Thanks again Carol!
