Monthly Rentals in Balatoncsicsó

The place is a conversion of part of a Hungarian house. It has very thick walls. Inside there are two very large rooms each with a large bed, maybe king size, and a sofa that looks like it turns into another large bed, so should easily sleep 8 people. There is no living room, but each of the bedrooms is kind of like its own living room. There is no TV but there is fast Internet through WiFi. There is a large kitchen/diner with all the essential bits and pieces for cooking and a full sized gas cooker. There is a bathroom with shower and WC and a separate WC. Both are decorated with modern tiling. There is a garden. The owner lives in a house on the site. This is on the edge of a small town up in the hills overlooking the Balaton. You really need a car to get here and to explore the area. We didn't move anywhere on foot. The place is very quiet and relaxing and functional but it really it is a jumping off point to explore the area. I'm all we enjoyed our stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay. The view is beautiful, just like in the pictures. There is also a playground, restaurant and convenience store in the neighborhood, easily accessible by car. It is important to know that this is a press house, so it is worth coming by car, but the road is well passable. Éva was very kind, she responded quickly and solution-focused to all our requests (high chair, extra mattress). The neighborhood is quiet, calm, perfect for relaxation. We were with our 18-month-old daughter and we had a really great time. There are good restaurants in Köveskál, the playground is also pleasant, and the place is super overall. We recommend it.

Kinga and Szabolcs were very friendly hosts, check-in and check-out are handled in person. They supported us with everything from tips for activities to booking a restaurant for the first evening and a lot more. The cottage is situated in a vinyard, absolutely quiet and with a stunnig view over the valley and to lake Balaton, yet only a 10 minutes drive from the lake. We found it very stilishly decorated and thoughtfully equipped. Thank you very much Kinga and Szabolcs for this lovely stay, we will certainly return when back to the Balaton region.

The listing is as described, it's a good idea to read the details because they have important information. The house is amazing, incredibly cozy. You really need to take care of the head. :) The street is tidy and quiet. The only negative thing we encountered is the neighbor in the back, where if there's a party (we ran into the morning bloomer), you can't sleep in the loft from the noise. The room downstairs and the couch were a great place for us, and it was quiet. The playroom deserves a huge plus point. We had a great time!
