Cottage vacation rentals in Bainskloof Pass

We stayed in the Tango cottage at De Wilge for three nights in late April as part of our family trip to the Nuy Valley, Worcester, and Robertson. We were so impressed by Amanda, our hostess, who was warm, friendly, and super knowledgeable about the area… She made excellent recommendations for local outings and she was so kind and welcoming! My wife loved the cottage’s beautiful and tasteful décor and our teenager couldn’t get enough of the hot tub and the stunning mountain views. All in all, a wonderful place to kick back, relax, and unwind. Thank you for having us, Amanda!

This is really the perfect stay if you want a break away from the city. The farm was quiet, and private. The hot tub and indoor fireplace was the highlight to add that cosiness to a good winter holiday. The cottage was well equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Madri was also a great host and easy to reach when needed.

Lovely setting with beautiful mountain views and absolutely loved seeing the animals (zebra and springbok) roam freely around us! The place is fully equipped with plenty of wood available, no need for us to communicate as everything was there. Loved the peace and privacy of the accommodation too. The hot tub worked perfectly fine 🙌🏽Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a quiet escape!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were a bit surprised by the 10km stretch of public dirt road leading to the farm — we had expected only a few kilometers of gravel once on the property — but it was still perfectly manageable with a sedan. The thoughtful touches on arrival really made us feel welcome: a chilled G&T, the hot tub already heated, and a freshly baked loaf of bread waiting for us. The game drive the next day was a highlight. Uncle Steve shared many fascinating, history-rich spots with us, making the experience both educational and memorable. Next time (when not pregnant!), we’ll definitely take advantage of the kayaking — the lakes are absolutely beautiful — and we’d love to stay longer, as the game drive takes up most of the day. Highly recommended!

Very nice place and great host.

Rina is so friendly and accommodating. I messaged her about my daughter’s engagement and she offered to get champagne and a cheese board to surprise them. What a nice touch. Plus she had flowers and chocolates as a surprise from her. Such a beautiful view and loved having Nadine the horse come visit us. Thank you for sharing your cottage.

The photos doesn't do the place justice. The absolute beauty of this place and surroundings are astonishing. 31 on Witzenberg is something everyone should experience once in their lives. Since we entered the property it felt like home. The cottage is so cozy and it had everything that we need. Afternoons at the braai watching the sunset are out of this world. It gave us the best of both worlds, the springboks and zebra roaming freely and also the serenity and peacefulness that gives an spiritual encouragement that was needed. Our hosts were exceptional, Polly and Jane. Thank you for allowing us in your space. May you continue to do good and may you prosper in everything you do.

A very peaceful stay. Was a great spot for our dog completely fenced and we could walk freely daily. Definitely will book again.

My boyfriend and i went here for our anniversary and it exceeded our expectations, the best cabin we have been to yet! Absolutely breathtaking and such a beautiful place to go and relax.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Pink Cottage. Check in was very easy and Mirco was a very warm and welcoming host. The location is fantastic in walking distance to Kloof Street and with amazing views of the mountains. Both of the bedrooms are very charming and the courtyard and rooftop terrace add to the charm of the place.

Bamboo Cottage is a beautiful place to stay! Unfortunately we where there for only 2 nights, would have liked to stay here longer. Kitty was very nice with information up ahead to our stay. The cottage looked like it came out of a magazine- styling was so nicely done and the garden…. Little oase with all the flowers and fruit. There was only a small problem with the warm water but Chris was there to solve the problem the same day. Thank you for letting us stay in Bamboo Cottage. Fransschoek was extra nice to visit this way!

We spent 4 days at the cottage and had a lovely time! We were really impressed by how clean the place was, the cottage itself is located relatively remote but with easy access via Uber to and from. The cottage was equipped with everything you need and we found it to be a private stay without interruption. The surroundings are beautiful, with the porch having an incredible view of table mountain and private access to walk into the Groot Constantia vineyard. Would absolutely recommend as a quiet getaway and many thanks to Lucy for being such a great host, we would definitely stay again!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful place & space Vo & Moses and the rest of your gang. We absolutley loved staying in it - it was the perfect place for our group of 7. The house was big enough for us not to be tripping over each other, but also small enough to still be cozy and comfortable. Thank you for checking in on us like you did, and for sharing all that you did. The property is incredible, and being out on the deck that overlooks the river, with a cup of coffee in the early morning is a must! The house was freezing - but once the fore was lit and we'd had a glas of red wine - we were all good :) Beds were comfortable, and the electric blankets made night times very pleasant. The house is an easy walk into town - and very well located. We'd definitley stay here again - especially with a group of friends.

We had a wonderful stay at Cranberry Cottage. The introduction to the property was warm and friendly, and Lesley was always available if we needed anything. The cottage was extremely comfortable with every possible amenity we needed. We really appreciated the personal touches, like bubbly in the fridge and a bowl of fruit. The cottage was secluded and secure, and had a lovely garden area for relaxing and taking meals. Cranberry Cottage is in easy driving distance of shops and restaurants in Somerset West, as well as centrally located for wonderful excursions to the wine country, Cape Peninsula and coastal areas. Very highly recommended.

This historic cottage is a lovely place to stay in Saint James. Close to the tidal pool and local restaurants and spacious and well equipped, I highly recommend the cottage. The many children’s toys and books were a special highlight for our son. Note that there is a main road quite close by which gives some traffic noise and a few steps up and down into the rooms jn the cottage. Carol and Seamus are especially kind and generous hosts who really thought of everything for us and our young son. We felt very well taken care of and very much at home! Thank you so much!

A secluded spot in the heart of Wolseley. Perfect if you're attending wedding (or other such events) nearby. Wonderful views and the cottages have all the essentials.
