Bungalow vacation rentals in Bahía Drake

We are spontaneously looking for the authentic CR followed our feeling. And we were not disappointed. The journey was spectacular but feasible with the all-wheel drive Jeep, including the river crossings. We were warmly welcomed and treated attentively and unobtrusively throughout our stay. The location is a dream and we found the days there were our most beautiful in CR.

This was a great spot to stay in a very special place. The place was clean and comfortable and the hosts are friendly and communicative.

This place was incredible. It is truly is paradise. The Airbnb was about 45 minutes in a taxi from the Drake Airport and it is a truly special place. It is away from the busy areas so you basically have your own private beach, yet access to do any of the activities the area is famous for. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure any tour arrangements and taxis were taken care of. You can easily take a boat from the beach to Cano Island or Corcovado National Park. Playa Josecito is around a 30 minutes walk which is a great spot to swim. The room was very comfortable and clean with the grounds being immaculate with incredible trees and plants. I would recommend this place to anyone and hope to visit again!

We stayed two nights with Johanna and Manuel and would come back any time. Everything is as described and well equipped, the accommodation is centrally located and can be reached in 10 minutes on foot from the beach. Manuel organized us a tour of the national park at very short notice (during the high season) and was even our guide. You can feel how much he loves this profession and the national park and we really saw a lot of animals and learned a lot.

Silvina's lodge is great. Our expectations were far surpassed. You get a really great nature experience. We saw a lot of animals there without having to take a guided tour. Our place was very clean and was also cleaned every day. In the kitchen, you had enough space for your own food. Silvina gave us great tips for activities. You can do a lot in the area for free. We loved the lodge so much that we extended our stay and will definitely be back next year. The lodge is an absolute recommendation.

If you are seeking immersion in nature and being in tune with natural cycles, this is the perfect place to slow down and just be. I loved waking up a little after 5am naturally as the light just started to break, hearing the sound of the waves and howler monkeys and cicadas. I could see the ocean from my unit, and it was nice to be able to walk along the beach or take a swim to cool off. The place looks exactly like the photos. My glamping unit was very clean and simple yet nicely decorated with plenty of shelves to put my belongings. It was so nice to have a fully equipped and pristine kitchen with plenty of space to store my food. I was delighted watching the monkeys every single day. There are many birds (hawks, scarlet maccaws). And a coati scampered right by me as I sat on my patio drinking coffee early one morning. The hosts are so nice and take very good care of the place, ensuring it remains a peaceful stay for everyone and is respectful of nature and wildlife.

Dolphin Quest is a magical place. The location, combining jungle and ocean, is incredible. I spent three nights in Casa Jungla, a shared cabin that is simply beautiful. I spent hours on the balcony, looking at the trees and watching birds, monkeys, and other wildlife pass by (hi, anteater!). And then there's the food—wow. Fresh, locally grown, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The staff, owners, and volunteers are all lovely people who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's hard to put the experience of staying at Dolphin Quest into words, so just book your stay and see for yourself - you won’t regret it!

We had a wonderful stay at Los Contingas Lodge! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The location is great—just off the beach on the main road, slightly up a hill. We arrived by boat from Sierpe, which was a fun experience, but be prepared to get your feet wet when landing on the beach. The stairs up to the lodge are a bit of a climb, but the view at the top is worth it. Breakfast and dinner were always delicious—highly recommend the quesadilla and one of their fresh smoothies! Our room was very clean with great water pressure, and we loved the open upstairs balcony and kitchen. The view was slightly obstructed by another lodge, but still beautiful. If an unobstructed view is a must, consider one of the other rooms. Would definitely stay here again!

great little hide away... close to bolita trails for a beautiful hike, and close to town. This house is the highest up from the 3 house. Super nice. Beware that the matress of the queensized bed has been bend in the middle (not in length, but in whith). So it can be somewhat uncomfortable if you are a difficult sleeper.

They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and gave us plenty of tips about what to do in the area. I cannot describe how much I enjoyed my stay. Everything felt like a dream. Samuel's place on the Osa Peninsula is the type of location that seems perfect in every aspect. Laid back atmosphere, ocean on one side--jungle on the other, amazing people, great food, and perfect sunsets. I don't think I will vacation anywhere else now.

This was the most romantic vacation I’ve ever had! We stayed with Silvina for 5 days but we wish it could have been longer. The best sleep in Costa Rica! The beds are so comfortable and the sounds of the jungle lulled us to sleep every night. My boyfriend proposed one morning at sunrise on the beach and that night Silvina had fresh flowers on our head board and petals spread over the bed….completely unexpected! Four Monkeys Eco Lodge and Silvina were a dream! We can’t wait to come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
