Monthly Rentals in Awatuna

We had a wonderful stay at the loft. It was cosy, warm, private, and had everything we could have needed. It was lovely being able to hear the ocean as we slept. Highly recommend and would love to come back on our next trip to the coast!

Airbnb, for me, has always been about more than just finding a place to sleep. It is about connection—discovering places that feel a little magical, and meeting hosts who welcome you into their world, even if just for a short while. I used to bring small gifts as a way of saying thank you for that privilege. Wendy’s place reminded me why I fell in love with that kind of travel in the first place. From the moment we arrived, Wendy greeted us with warmth and genuine care. Her 5-6 hectare property is something truly special, with lakes and rivers flowing through it like a hidden sanctuary. We had the chance to kayak on her private waters, unwind in a beautiful outdoor bath under the open sky, and spend the evening around the fire, toasting marshmallows beneath the stars. Everything the other reviews mention is 100% true. If you are considering booking, do yourself a favour—stay for more than one night if you can. We only had one, but it felt like a world away from everything.

Brett's place had a comfy feel to it. Found everything we needed and it was quiet. Glad we stayed more than one night so we could rest, look around and get organized for the next leg of the journey.

Only stayed at this Airbnb as a stop over so we had somewhere to rest in between our drives, but regretted we didn’t book longer! Really nice property with so much space. Felt a little bit big for only 2 of us but honestly was so nice to have the whole place to ourselves as it was really peaceful. Loved that we had a selection of movies to choose from, and books and board games. Plus the fire place being ready to go when we got there was a bonus as it heated up the house instantly. Thanks for having us for our short stay, will definitely be back!
