KAIWA NO SATO This old house is an indigo mansion built in the first year of the Bunsei era (1804) during the heyday of indigo. The main house and the sleeping area (a barn where indigo was stored) have been demolished due to aging, but the historic living room and garden have been preserved to allow guests to experience a little bit of that time, and it is used as a farmhouse inn. In the old days, "Indigofera" grew on the fertile land of the Yoshino River basin in Tokushima Prefecture, bringing great wealth to Tokushima Prefecture (Awa Province). Ancient documents on indigo, including cultural properties, are also available for viewing. Enjoy the charm of that era and Indigofera. ＝＝＝＝ Feel free to pick and eat seasonal fruits and vegetables from the adjacent fields. * Please enjoy as many figs as you like in summer and autumn. It is ideal for those who enjoy the Shikoku Pilgrimage, those who want to relax away from everyday life, and for remote work. ▶ At the guest house, you can enjoy the traditional Japanese lifestyle with tatami mats and shoji. The kitchen, bath and toilet are modern and functional, and Wi-Fi is also available. ▶ The guest house faces a lush garden where you can fully enjoy the beauty of the four seasons in Japan. ▶ Check-in time is from 3 pm to 7 pm. The host will guide you to the guest house. If you arrive after 7 pm, please check in by yourself. In that case, the entrance to the guest house will be open and the key will be left in a predetermined place in the guest house. ▶ Guests arriving by car should enter the premises and park in front of the white car stop in the space on the right. ▶ After check-in, please enter the names, addresses, and contact information of all guests in the guest register. ▶ We do not charge accommodation fees for children under 2 years old (futons, towels, etc. are not provided). Please let us know at the time of booking. A total of 160 m² of space is available with an additional 51.5 m². For breakfast, we provide coffee, bread, butter, and eggs from Oniwa Farm.
