lovely holiday house in a beautiful area with lots to do on the doorstep. House lovely and clean - 5 minutes walk from village centre where there is a village shop and plenty of pubs and a local chippy. Just opposite Valley Sett trail to New Mills. 5 minutes from start of walk to Kinder Scout. Would recommend staying here.

We stayed at the cottage for 2 nights for a 40th birthday get away with family and 3 small dogs. From start to finish, Nina was an outstanding host. We arrived at the cottage without issue, helped by the clear instructions provided! The cottage sits in the most gorgeous surroundings with spectacular views and dog-proof garden! The cottage itself is simply beautiful with so much thought has gone into every element. Absolutely everything you could possibly need during your stay is there, ready to go and well placed to find. Nina is as so kind and helpful, responding to questions so quickly and with seemingly endless patience. The local walks in both the country and villages are fantastic- with some excellent pub/ restaurant options around, including many which are dog friendly! Our only complaint was that we couldn’t stay longer! We found ourselves checking our diaries towards the end of the stay to organise our next visit! Thank you again, Nina!

Paula and Danny’s house is nestled on a quiet lane close to the town’s centre and surrounded by the scenery of the High Peaks. The house is well equipped, very comfortable and well sized with beds and living space ample for 6 people. We used the house as a base for exploring the Peaks with the well known peaks of Kinder Scout and Mam Tor just a few miles away. If hiking isn’t your thing then trains to Buxton take just 14mins. The hosts were responsive, helpful and friendly and we’d definitely stay here again.

Just spent 3 nights staying in Ailsa’s lovely home. From booking through to check-out Ailsa provided excellent information and was very quick to respond to any queries. A lovely spacious home, tastefully decorated and in a great location. A real gem.

Heather (acting on behalf of Chris) was extremely helpful and responsive. We received clear instructions on how to work the heating and how to enter the property, as well as useful info on local amenities. The house has everything you’d need for a short or medium stay and the location is excellent for visiting central Manchester and the surrounding area. The garden is enclosed with a high fence, which made it perfect for our dog to play in. We also appreciated the dishwasher and washing machine and tumble dryer, which we were able to make use of. We couldn’t fault this property!

We’ve had a lovely two night break at North Cottage, the place is amazing, spotless, has everything you need and a great location. We did a local walk of around 10 miles that took us around the area and into Poynton which has a nice high street and a few places to eat, I would highly recommend taking a walk around the gardens as there is lots to see!! We will be rebooking to come back again!

Booked this trip last minute and was not disappointed with our choice, the instructions for parking and how to find the cottage was spot on. Less then a couple minutes walk and you’re at all the coffee shops and pubs with a short drive to other villages and all the famous walks.

Wow what an amazing property, just wish I could have stayed longer. Home from home with more. Comfortable bed/s great quality including bedding and towels of luxury quality. Thoughtful touches on arrival. Local amenities, plenty of restaurants/pubs walking distance. Beautiful local reservoir walks, plenty to do and see. Spa was an amazing added bonus to enjoy your stay with full relaxation under the stars and after a long walk. Will definitely stay again and have recommended to my family and friends already. One of those weekend breaks that you don't want to end. Thanks for everything.

One of the best air b and b’s I have stayed at. Angela was super responsive and goes out of her way to ensure guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay. My highlights: 1) amazingly comfy beds with clean crisp sheets 2) great shower with lovely Molton Brown toiletries 3) useful recommendations for local restaurants, walks etc 4) thoughtful welcome basket with orange juice, croissant, cup cake, biscuit, beer and tea and coffee. Samantha was so helpful and extremely accommodating, always replying promptly to messages. The property was extremely well maintained and stocked with everything you could possibly need and more! Attention to detail and generous welcome gift made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend.

I would definitely revisit Jess’s place again. The location is conveniently situated just outside the bustling center, with several bus stops nearby that make it easy to reach the Trafford Center for shopping, as well as visit the iconic Manchester Football Stadium. I had a fantastic time relaxing in the evening by the cozy fire, which created the perfect atmosphere for our mini date night in the flat. The space was incredibly peaceful, allowing us to unwind and enjoy each other's company without distraction. Additionally, there are plenty of local shops and charming urban cafes within walking distance, making it a great spot for grabbing a coffee or exploring unique finds. Overall, the combination of comfort, accessibility, and a vibrant neighborhood makes it a wonderful place to stay.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

Stayed for 3 nights a grouped of 8. we had the most amazing time. 10 minute walk into Holmfirth and easy to get a taxi back up, if you don't want to walk up the hills. The taxi was around £5. Everything spotless beds comfortable. welcome basket on arrival thank you Angela. All 8 of us had a great stay, would definitely book again.

Beautiful 2 days sleeping under the stars, of which two were shooting stars. Close to Dovestones for a good hike and literally 5 reservoirs within 2 minutes walk. Very quiet, peaceful and beautiful interior. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful loft apartment located in the centre of Bollington. spotlessly clean, welcoming and warm. The host Nick was very helpful & available and willing to offer advice on the local area. The beds were so comfy and cozy with high quality bed linen. we would highly recommend the loft to anyone wanting to explore the Cheshire countryside.

Georgie is a great host very helpful and full of information. The accommodation is perfect has everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. very clear on things to do and places to visit like attractions, bar's and restaurants local public transport and even dog friendly places and walks. We had a fabulous 3 nights at Amanda and Steve’s lovely home. As soon as we booked we received a really informative message outlining entry arrangements, WiFi, local attractions etc which was great. The house is really lovely and spacious, a real home from home with added extra such as the generous welcome pack and logs, kindling and firefighters for the log burner. The towels and bedding were all really good hotel quality and the beds really comfy. We walked around the reservoir and kinder scout whilst we were there and the house is really well placed for this, in fact we never used our car until we went home which was great! We ate in the Packjorse twice and the lovely Italian which was a bonus. We want to thank Amanda and Steve for letting us stay and would love to come back in the future, if possible.

Perfect location for exploring the area. Just around the corner from a lovely bakery. Just down the road from a recreation ground where we walked our dogs. The house is quirky and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The garden is secure which was perfect for our dogs. The bed was comfortable. All in all we loved it and would come back. Thank you Katie

With 3 kids and a dog. This was a great place to stay. A good space for off road parking on a quiet road when we arrived. House was as the pictures had shown. Lovely, clean and tidy. Downstairs had plenty of space for us. Upstairs bedrooms were lovely and bright, beds were comfortable and dual head shower in bathroom was excellent. Nice space out the back for the dog to run around. Local park close by that the kids and dogs could use. Good location for access to central Manchester and surrounding areas. Not far from Reddish vale which was great for walking the dog. Our host Tamara was very friendly, happy to help and responded quickly when I messaged. Overall great experience and would recommend using this AirBnB.

This is a true 5 star home to stay in from all perspectives. Chris was kind enough to let my husband and I stay for a few weeks while we transitioned to Manchester from the south. The home is absolutely lovely - spotless, clean, and comfortable. He was proactive in checking everything was okay during our stay and anything one might need was available - right down to the likes of a juice squeezer! I can’t emphasise enough how perfectly setup this home was for a short or long stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering the area.
