We had a fantastic stay at Tim’s place! The location was perfect – just around the corner from local amenities and right in the heart of town. It was also only about 10 minutes to the forest and around 30 minutes to Whitby, which made day trips really easy. The hot tub was spotless and ready to use as soon as we arrived, and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of Prosecco – such a thoughtful touch. Tim was an incredibly responsive and understanding host throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be back in the future

We absolutely loved our stay. The cottage was beautifully decorated and well equipped, making us feel right at home. The area and scenery were beautiful, making for the perfect relaxing stay.

Such a lovely place. The hosts thought of all the extra little details and communication was great. Welcome drink, bread, eggs and milk were a very nice extra touch. It’s actually even nicer than it looks in the pictures. Walkable pub/restaurant so no cooking was required but a well equipped kitchen if you do want to cook. A tablet that explained how everything operated as well as things to do in the local area. A quiet and relaxing place that I would definitely return to.

3 Railway Cottage is a fantastic base to explore the amazing beauty of North Yorkshire. The cottage is located a 20 minute walk from the centre of Pickering but is in a really quiet and private location. The only exception of course is the opportunity to wave at the heritage railway trains that pass at the back of the cottage a few times a day which is really amazing, especially if you wave from the comfort of the hot tub! I can’t recommend this location highly enough, it is a really comfortable and well equipped cottage in a fantastic location - what more could you ask for?

We were lucky enough to stay at the Nook this weekend and couldn’t have asked for more. Wayne and Dave are so thoughtful with the attention to detail for guests to enjoy and really go the extra mile with thoughtful treats on arrival and ensuring you have everything you need. It really is a little treasure hidden away in the countryside - thank you for having us x

Lovely relaxing cottage with everything we needed. Very cosy and relaxing setting with great views from back windows. Enclosed garden for dog or children. Hot tub was a great perk which was well used by us. Rillington village within 10 min walk which had a small shop and a nice pub ( the fleece). Tips for other travellers The fleece in rillington has a nice garden of weather nice and the food was nice too and dog friendly Ham and cheese which is a 5 minute drive the food was very good and dog friendly too although probably too far to walk Lots of walks nearby, we went to dalby Forrest, mallyham spout in goathland and Levisham near Pickering New Connie’s Chinese in malton was also very good

We had the most beautiful stay — the cottage was peaceful, private, and instantly felt like home. Everything was spotless and smelt amazing, with such a lovely, calming vibe throughout. The decor was gorgeous, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The hot tub was the perfect finishing touch for a truly relaxing weekend. The hosts went above and beyond with thoughtful details like fresh eggs in the morning and chocolates waiting for us on arrival. Communication was smooth and friendly from start to finish. You can really feel the care and effort put into every part of the stay. I’d absolutely recommend this place — it’s a little gem, and I’d love to return!

Excellent stay in Pickering, the house is exactly as described and more! Very well equipped and a real home from home. It is on one of the main roads but as others have said the thoughtful ear plugs made all the difference and we had no problem finding parking every day. This is a fantastic base for exploring the local area. Highly recommended

Another fantastic stay. Really love this place, so handy for great walks, fishing with great shops on your doorstep like the local butchers, bakery, chippys and pet shop. You have to try the cafe, copperfields…it’s amazing!

Our stay here was fantastic, Joe was super helpful and great at communicating. The location is ideal with the beach just over the road. Parking is first come first served, but we managed to park elsewhere until a space out front became available so not too much hassle. Would definitely recommend to others.

Jennifer’s place Derwent House East Wing is the perfect location if you want a peaceful and charming stay. More than you could wish for a quiet area with some restaurants and convenience store a very short walk away and a short drive to the coast and more beautiful surroundings. The bed was super comfy and the lounge just delightful. The added bonus of some walks from the back garden gate too. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again.

We had a great stay at harwood house, it's in the perfect location for the seaside and amusements. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back soon.

Lovely, homely cottage with a fabulous view of the hills from the sofa! Well equipped kitchen and a spacious living and dining area.

Lovely cottage which we found to be spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The beds were especially comfortable and we appreciated the rainfall shower in the main bathroom and the spacious and well-equipped kitchen. The back garden was secure which was good for us as we were travelling with our 3 dogs. The cottage is situated on a busy main road so we did notice some traffic noise during our stay. The host Dawn sent us clear check-in instructions in good time and was very responsive. There was also a folder with useful information in the cottage. We would definitely choose to stay here again if travelling to the area and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Emma's place was simply gorgeous! We loved our stay and couldn't stop marvelling at the beautiful location. The cottage was pristine and comfortable and even bigger and more beautiful than the photos. The surroundings and the views from every window were amazing. Emma was a lovely host, helpful and flexible. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Lovely little cottage, everything you could need for a relaxing break. Spotlessly clean and tidy - absolutely perfect. It was also lovely and warm, and the bed was so comfortable!! There’s a DVD player, a CD player and a collection of discs to play - quite a novelty these days! We came by train, as our car gave up the ghost a few weeks ago, but this was no problem, as there’s a bus stop just 10 minutes away All in all, we would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing break. We had a fantastic stay at this property! The location was absolutely perfect for attending the wedding venue, making everything incredibly convenient. The host was so welcoming and met us upon arrival, which was a lovely touch. The property itself was spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The thoughtful welcome hamper filled with treats was a bonus and made us feel right at home. Great stay at Chris & Amanda's place. We enjoyed our stay while visiting surroundings places and had a good sleep on cozy beds. We would highly recommend the place and definitely will return if we are around eastern coast again. Thank you for hosting us.

From our arrival to our departure, Lucy ensured any questions we had were answered so quickly. The property is lovely, very very clean and so well equipped, the bathrooms are beautiful, as is all of the property. I would highly recommend staying here, and thank you Lucy, you were the perfect host, we will return again in the future.

Stayed at The Haven for two nights with our three year old daughter. Great location, close to Honeysuckle Farm which our little one loved and within walking distance of the beach. The house was beautifully decorated, spotless and had everything we needed, including plastic plates and cups and a bed guard for our daughter. Parking was super close and convenient. The beds were comfy - even our little one (who is usually up by 6am) stayed in hers and enjoyed a lie-in! Dawn was very responsive and lovely, even when we were daft enough to put the wrong code into the key box despite very clear instructions! Thank you for a lovely stay Dawn, we would certainly love to come back!
