Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Athens

We loved our stay in Hudson. We were a quick drive into town and it was easy to get around. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well here. We used the pack n play for our youngest and the kids enjoyed playing in the backyard. It isn’t fully fenced in, but there is a fence blocking the backyard from the road, so my kids were always safe. There weren’t a ton of dishes available, that was the only downside we found.

We had a lovely time! The house perfectly accommodated a friends trip (6 of us) and had everything we needed - lounge space, dining table, full kitchen, 4 bedrooms. We'll be back!

What an excellent stay - this airbnb was incredibly well stocked with kitchen supplies, games, extra linens, really anything that one could want. Amenities were high quality and very thoughtful.

We spent the weekend in the area and Tim’s place was fantastic. It’s loaded with charm, comfortable and very well appointed and stocked (right down to treats for the dog). The location is beautiful and the views are amazing. Can’t wait to return!

We had great weekend at Briana’s place! The home was exactly as described. Our doggies had a great time playing outside and by the waterfall. Perfect getaway from the city. So quiet and peaceful, you can hear nothing but birdsong and the sound of the waterfall. Highly recommended! She also left some fresh eggs for us.

We enjoyed the perfect escape from the city in this magical barn with gorgeous antiques and pristine views. Definitely will be back for future celebrations!

Our favorite place to stay in the Catskills. Very private and peaceful.

The house is so beautiful and unique, and there is art everywhere you look. It inspires creativity! The hot tub and pool are incredible. The house has everything you need to feel at home. It's quiet and peaceful, and the view is out of this world. This is such a wonderful place for a getaway. Our family had a great time, and we can't wait to visit again soon! Olia made sure we had everything we needed and provided great suggestions for things to do in the area. It was an amazing holiday getaway!

Great stay at Jasmine’s well furnished, rustic feel cottage. Peaceful location but just a quick ride to Woodstock, Kingston and Rhinebeck. Pool was perfect - we used it everyday. Heat bathroom floors is a nice touch!

I spent a week at Fouz and Chris's place with my family (8 adults, a toddler and two dogs) and we had very relaxing, enjoyable, comfortable stay. The house is in a quiet, private area and a short distance from places of interest for hikes, restaurants, museums, historical sites, etc. We received great recommendations from the hosts.

Rick's House (Hemlock House) was a wonderful getaway! We unfortunately didnt hit the best weather but the house was perfect for a cool and rainy long weekend both indoors and out. The open first floor with huge kitchen was great for hanging out and cooking with alot of cozy nooks to read and relax. There was a lot of various outdoor spaces and decks to lounge on as well and the hot tub was perfect for the cooler cloudy weather. The bedrooms were all comfy and each room having its own bathroom was another plus. We all loved the sounds of the creek and being able to walk around the trails in the back. The House is in a fantastic location - only 10 minutes from Rhinebeck which has everything you need and is great for walking around, shopping and dining. Rick was informative and provided a great guidebook with clear instructions and local resources and recommendations. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Absolute slice of heaven. Private, peaceful. Home itself modern and comfortable. Pool was absolutely amazing, comfortable in late May - in peak summer it must be amazing. Would love to stay again!

Our second time staying at Maitopia with our cat, just as wonderful in a different warmer season. Tina was super responsive as usual and even accommodated a late checkout. We enjoyed feasting in the kitchen as well as grilling in the yard, floating around in the pool when it was warm enough out, "hiking" with our cat on a leash around the forest on the property, taking baths, streaming music. We didn't leave the property much, but it was a fun highlight to get a few local produce items at nearby Greig farm and meet the adorable goats. One tip- bring an eyemask if you're sensitive to light in the mornings- there aren't any window shades in the bedroom.

The hosts are super responsive. The setting is lovely. The carriage house is behind the magnificent, beautifully restored 1903 Titus Mansion, amid manicured lawns and gardens, raked gravel drives and parking, and a three tiered fountain on the mansion grounds, visible (and audible) from several rooms and from the porch. The porch itself is an absolute delight, a great place to gather your group or just sit and read. During our stay we were accompanied there by a nest of robin fledglings under the eaves. Athens is set in one of the most scenic parts of the Hudson Valley, brimming with great cultural and recreational opportunities. Terrific shops and restaurants abound in nearby Catskill and Hudson (there are also two first rate restaurants in Athens itself.) The hosts provided a carefully curated list of these. The cable and wifi work seamlessly. Relax and enjoy yourself here.

We had such a nice time staying at the cabin - the pictures do not do it justice. The beautiful decor choice and the peaceful surroundings have to be experienced in person! Nick and Colleen also provided great recommendations for the area. We would love to come back again.

Incredible stay. The house is immaculate - beautifully decorated, furnished, and spacious (house had tons of holiday decorations, very cozy!!). This was one of the best stocked rentals I've stayed at - kitchen and bathrooms have everything you could possibly need. Accommodated 2 families very comfortably; beds were comfortable. Loved that the great room was separated from the rest of the bedrooms allowing the family to gather without disturbing napping babies. Lots of yard space, situated next to a picturesque creek. And excellent central location to Hudson, Catskill, and skiing. Host goes above and beyond - offered early check in, extremely responsive. Highly recommend!!

If I could give 6 stars, I would! This house is super clean, great layout, and has everything needed for great stay. Check in and check out were extremely easy. Orlando was very quick to respond to all of our correspondences. He was always kind and professional when communicating with us. We stayed in the house during a snowy, chilly week in December. The house was nice and warm upon our arrival and we immediately felt right at home. The lake views are beautiful from inside the house and deck. Comfortable bed, nice furniture, and a well stocked kitchen. Airbnb photos accurately represent this lovely home. There is plenty to do in the area or you can just stay at the home and enjoy! We already booked another stay for the end of December. Thank you Orlando for sharing your home and making us feel safe and comfortable.

This space is even more beautiful in person! Upon our arrival we immediately felt at home and the abundant amenities made our trip extra easy. We loved Kathryn’s place! It was so peaceful and pretty, we loved having lake access, and it was convenient to drive to several local towns with great restaurants. The whole family enjoyed the kayaks and the community pool and the lovely outdoor space. My favorite part of the stay was the friendly fox who would visit the property in the mornings. Kathryn was also a wonderful host and responsive to our questions/messages. I would definitely stay here again!

Rosane and Daniel were great hosts and super communicative! The house was really clean, the beds were super comfy and the game room was so fun! The massage chair was the best part of the house! Thank you for hosting us :)
