Family-friendly vacation rentals in Ards and North Down

We were new to this quiet part of Northern Ireland and it was a rare find to discover the Mourne Mountains, beaches and small villages close by. Jill’s home was the perfect escape for our family when we wanted to relax, cook, play games and watch movies. The hot tub was a bonus which we enjoyed despite the wet and cold rainy days. Would love to come back as we felt right at home

Lynne’s place was perfect! Just as she described. She welcomed us as soon as we arrived. The location was ideal. We covered a lot of ground from Belfast to Bushmills. The town of Dromore and Hillsborough are delightful. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful location and property. Host was always available and very flexible with check in, which really helped. Clean, tidy and everything we needed. Property was extremely spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend.

This house was absolutely beautiful, with beautiful views, everything you would need in a house. The hot tub was amazing especially in the evenings looking over the bay. Trevor was kind and a lovely host. Always contactable if needed .

We love the house with the comfy sofas and cosy log fire. The perfect place to relax after our walks. And what an added bonus the woodland spa was! Annette was a fabulous host, very understanding when we got delayed as we were hiking Slieve Donard, super friendly and made us feel right at home! The apartment itself was wonderful, so clean and tidy! The hot tub was a brilliant touch as it was nice to relax after climbing a mountain all day. 100% would love to stay again next time we’re in the county!

We had the perfect getaway with friends in this beautiful house by the sea. We were 4 adults and 3 young children and there was plenty of space for us all. There are lots of stairs which were difficult at times for the younger ones. But that didn’t take away from our stay. We got the hot tub which we thoroughly enjoyed once the kids were in bed. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay, we brought our 2 dogs and all thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Aileen is a superb host, always on hand to answer any questions or just have a quick chat. We enjoyed watching the horses and chickens being attended to throughout the day and the hot tub was a lovely way to end the days after walking along the beach or hiking in the mountains. 100% recommend

We had a lovely couple of days, the house is gorgeous and the farm walks are perfect for us with small kids. Everyone was absolutely lovely, and the children are plotting to go back already.

Great host and really lovely stay. Welcomed with not only human warmth but a fresh loaf of bread. Hidden gem of a staycation that would really recommend if looking to get away for a night to relax and unwind. Sunsets over the quiet stretches of fields were so picturesque they looked like they were straight off a post card. Thanks so much again.

We loved staying at Julie’s place! She was such a wonderful and helpful host. Everything was so clean and comfortable. We really appreciated the extra goodies that were left on our arrival :) We will be sure to book again next time we are in Northern Ireland!

We stayed at Ellen’s Airbnb for a wedding, and had a fantastic time! It has everything you could need and really felt like a home away from home. Maureen who greeted us was also lovely and had put the kettle on before we arrived. Would definitely recommend!

In the heart of Ballyholme this was very central to all amenities and 2 minutes from the sea. We stayed over Xmas and the house was a home from home. Excellently equipped kitchen and cosy living room where we could relax and spend time as a family which we don’t often get a chance to do. We had issues connecting to the internet - totally our fault, and Tara was quick to come back with the correct instructions. Also very flexible with checking in / out which made life very easy for us. A very enjoyable Xmas

We had a great stay here. The house is in a great location with lots of space. Anne was a very attentive host with lots of special touches to make our stay comfortable, including a Christmas tree! Thanks for everything Anne!

This was tranquil heaven, overlooking the Narrows. The Boathouse was kitted out to be comfortable and intuitively usable. It was much the best-equipped Air BnB we have stayed in over many years and the design detail was much appreciated by us. And yes! our host understood that guests like to hang clothes up in wardrobes! Excellent supply of hot water too, and, given that it was early May, just a touch of warmth from the radiators to offset overnight coolth. Thank you, Caroline, we'd come again if you'll have us.

Our second stay at Joe’s property was as great as our first. The house is incredibly well equipped and furnished. We are a family of 5 and the house was a prefect size for us all. We really do feel it is a home rather than just accommodation. Joe is always reachable and happy to help. Many thanks to Joe once again for making our stay so welcoming and comfortable (the Christmas tree was a lovely touch!)
