Our cottage is perfect for families, couples or friends who want a peaceful base to explore glorious Argyll. This is a truly magical place, with incredible sea views, and a large garden that leads straight on to the shore. It's also a great base for exploring the Isle of Bute, the "Secret Argyll Coast", and the Arrochar Alps. After a big day out, you can come back and relax in front of the log burner. Leac Na Sith means "Hearthstone of Tranquility"... it could not be a more appropriate name.

Rose Cottage is a unique 18th Century lime washed stone cottage located a short distance from Whiting Bay. As a Category B listed building of architectural and historic interest, Rose Cottage is believed to be a long house typical of the Western Isles. A delightful home in a peaceful rural location, oozing charm and maintaining much of the original character. Accommodation comprises a large open plan lounge area with galleried mezzanine, kitchen, bathroom and one double room.

The studio is on Woodlands Terrace, arguably the most stunning street in Glasgow. Situated directly on Kelvingrove Park, the river Kelvin at the foot of the park is ideal for running and walking. Gowanlea is situated on the waterfront in Kilchattan Bay, Isle of Bute with stunning sea views. The village of Kilchattan Bay is 15 minutes drive from the main town of Rothesay, a perfect Scottish Island rural getaway. This is a very quiet village which offers beautiful landscapes and scenery, alongside the abundance of wildlife and walks it has to offer. The village also has it's own small tearoom as you come in to the village and a bar/ restaurant 1/2 a mile away.

The property has 2 living areas and one can be configured as a big double bedroom, please let me know when booking how you want it to be set up. There is a king size in the main bedroom and bunks in the other. A Victorian flat with some original features. A gateway to Arran, Ayrshire and beyond . 2 beaches are a 15 minute walk. Less than 3 minutes walk are shops, takeaways and also a castle. ASDA and various restaurants are 15 minutes from the property.

Enjoy Oakdene Cottage and its great views with hosts next door. Dog friendly with nearly an acre of established garden and space to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area whilst being relatively close to Glasgow with good connections and only ~50 minutes from Glasgow Airport. Please bear in mind that there are steps up to up access the cottage from either door: thus, if you have reduced mobility, sadly, Oakdene may not be for you.
