OCEANSIDE RETREAT

A beachfront studio unit sleeping 5 on the same large rural beachfront property as Penguins Retreat and Whitebait Cottage. The sleeping area of the large unit is divided into two so that the queen bed and the second area with another queen bed and single bed have visual privacy but the wall does not go to the ceiling We do not live on the property so this place suits independent travellers who have a car, wanting to spend time on a west coast beach. Only 3 minutes drive to Hokitika township.

Revell Street Cottage

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! A super cute and cosy 1930s cottage. Situated literally a stones throw from the beautiful Hokitika river and popular cycle trail. Only a mere 3 minutes stroll to witness Sunset Point's stunning sunsets! Soak up the picturesque views of the Southern Alps, Mount Cook and the untamed Hokitika beach. The CBD is a short 2 minutes walk where you can immerse yourself in local cafes, restaurants, boutique shops, craft galleries, copper, gold, glass and pounamu studios.

Castle Hill Studio

Castle Hill Studio has everything you need after a day exploring the nearby Ski fields, Craigieburn trails, Cave Stream, and Kura Tawhiti Rocks from your doorstep. Spacious, with a full kitchen and laundry, the ground floor Studio has its own private entry. Secure bike or ski storage are availible by arrangement. New Black Diamond Mondo bouldering mats are available for our Bouldering guests to hire. While the studio is spacious, it is best suited to 2 singles or 1 couple with young children.

Off The Beaten Track - The Country Cottage

Modern one bdrm, King Bed cottage in gold-mining Stafford. 10-minute drive from Hokitika, cafes and shops in the countryside. King-size bed & king single in one spacious bedroom, there is a separate lounge/diner/kitchen. High-Pressure Gas Shower. The carport contains a washer and drier with a clothesline nearby. Fast Starlink internet. Smart TV apps and Sky. Cell coverage is 1-2 bars, but activate wifi-calling on your cellphones for clear calls. Check in 2 - 9 pm (no later please)

Smart TV gives you access to online content as well as Netflix plus more. 50 inch Smart TV's in both the lounge and bedroom. 2 minute stroll to the Glowworm dell in one direction and the beach in the other direction. Easy, flat walk to town approx. 1.5km away. Private parking.

The Nest at Hurunui Jacks (outdoor bath & firepit)

So much more than a place to sleep - toast marshmallows around a private fire, take a bike on the West Coast Wilderness trail, kayak on our little lake! The Nest is a stand alone self contained unit with outdoor bath/shower, close to but separate from the main house. Our "cool little" cabin is a very small, detached, cozy, private bedroom looking out towards the rugged Tasman Sea. You will enjoy your own private space, comfortable queen bed, beautiful sunsets, beach access, and the convenience of a 3 min beach walk to Hokitika town centre. Bathroom facilities are detached from cabin and shared with our other cabin guests. Our place is perfect for couples and solo adventurers.

The Church House

This older style 3- bedroom home doesnt get any closer to Hokitika township. Located right in the CBD, it is a couple hundred metres from every amenity you need....the beach, restaurants, New World, shops etc etc. It has a large private backyard, with seating, fireplace and BBQ area. Please note: this house DOES NOT have a table & chairs and dishwasher.
