Houseboat vacation rentals in Amsterdam-West

Fantastisch verblijf op een unieke locatie! We hebben drie nachten doorgebracht op deze prachtige woonboot in Amsterdam, en het was echt een geweldige ervaring. De woonboot was ruim, comfortabel en van alle gemakken voorzien. Alles was keurig in orde en schoon, wat direct een ontspannen gevoel gaf. Het contact met de host was uitstekend. Hij was ontzettend behulpzaam en vriendelijk, en ging zelfs een stap verder door op te zoeken waar we goedkoop konden parkeren aan de rand van de stad. Dit maakte ons verblijf nog aangenamer en zorgde ervoor dat we ons meteen welkom voelden. De locatie van de woonboot was perfect om de stad te verkennen en tegelijkertijd te genieten van de rust aan het water. Een unieke ervaring die we iedereen zouden aanraden! We komen graag nog eens terug. Bedankt voor de geweldige gastvrijheid!

We thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend aboard Johan's houseboat, in a great location in the Jordaan! It was an experience simply not available in a hotel or B&B. We drank morning coffee and late afternoon cocktails on the deck whle soaking up the few remaining days of late summer sun. It was ideally located close to neighborhood restaurants, shops, and even weekend organic food and flea market, and a short walk to tourist attractions in the old city center. If not up for a longer walk along the canal to the museum quarter and beyond, a public transportation options were always available nearby. Communication prior to arrival and during our stay was proactive and prompt. The inside of the houseboat was even more spacious than we anticipated, and the beds were comfortable. We'll definitely opt for a stay here during our next visit to Amsterdam!

We had a lovely time on Peter's houseboat. The location is great. Only a 15 minute walk to the station and the center yet incredibly peaceful. Everything we needed was available and we enjoyed the first rays of the spring sun on the dock in front of the houseboat. The daily visit from a group of geese was quite the highlight for our little boy. Peter welcomed us when we first arrived and was very accommodating and responsive to our questions. We explored the corners of Utrecht and beyond with the bike and can only recommend this lovely city. So many beautiful historic buildings, lovely canals and quaint little cafes and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

I cannot recommend this boat enough. I wish I was back there right now! What a lovely surprise that it's even better than the photos. Extremely clean, excellent finish, very unique and an overall beautiful space. Location is lovely, a short walk to everything and easy tram access if you don't feel like walking. Leaving the best till last... Sietske is a wonderful and kind host. She couldn't do enough for us and made us feel extremely welcome. Thank you so much for helping make a big birthday even more special!!

Lovely home Perfect neighborhood to stay if touring Amsterdam Host extremely responsive to any of our needs

We absolutely loved our stay at Anouk’s place. It was extremely comfortable for 4 people and had a wonderful living space that felt comfortable and homely. We loved having access to the bikes and despite having inclement weather it was an easy ride to the wonderful Zaanse Schans and the old windmills. Quintessential Amsterdam! The jewel on the crown was when the rain finally stopped, we were able to experience the stunning canal view from the moored boat at the back. Unfortunately the weather hadn’t permitted us to use the boat to explore the other canals but it is definitely something we would love to do on a future visit. Anouk was fabulous at communicating and left comprehensive information for us to make the most of the area. We loved dining at her favourite restaurant and probably made our mark as we were leaving! (Another story!) Ha! We definitely caught the spirit of the place! Could not recommend this highly enough. Thanks for a fabulous stay 🙏🏽❤️

If you're looking for a calm location and a place to truly call home for a few days this is a perfect spot! It was a quick drive to a train with ample parking to get into Amsterdam. Marie Louise was an amazing host, very helpful and kind.

Fantastische woonboot om te verblijven. Mariëtte had zelfs speelgoed voor onze 2-jarige klaargezet waardoor zij zich ook meteen thuis voelde. Een aanrader!

We had a great stay at Michael’s place, it was a beautiful house boat in a very peaceful quiet location. It was a good distance to walk to the free boat that runs to Amsterdam central. There was a free bottle of Prosecco in the apartment and Michael even bought us a second and some chocolate for a miscommunication on the first night. The bed was comfy and everything was spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay here again.

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place! The beds were comfy, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful... it was a lovely escape from the busy, city-center. We LOVED the use of the kitchen and the deck just off the kitchen. Hein was so good to have bikes available for us. There is little available directly near the home but a 10 minute bike ride along the lovely road and over the bridge gets you to all you could want. We were sad to leave our Amsterdam home and will hope Hein's home is available when we return.

Wir hatten ein wunderbares Wochenende bei Justin. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt und alles war sehr sauber. Von der Unterkunft aus kann man gut Ausflüge nach Leiden, Den Haag oder ans Meer machen. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr privat und ruhig. Justin hat immer schnell auf unsere Nachrichten geantwortet und war flexibel bei Check-In und Check-Out Zeiten. Ich werde die Unterkunft weiter empfehlen! 😊

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Tolle Natur überall, sehr ruhig, Bademöglichkeit und insbesondere für Fahrradtouren ein idealer Ausgangspunkt. Restaurants und Supermarkt in der Nähe. Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder.

Fern’s houseboat was AMAZING! Hands down my favorite Airbnb ever. Interior was beautiful and well kept. Location was close to so many shops, restaurants and the tram. Fern was very helpful and always responsive. Pepper was easily my favorite part of the stay though 😊 🐈‍⬛ ❤️

Our stay at Claire’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is hard to beat in the heart of Jordaan, steps away from great Dutch cafes, every restaurant we ate at was within a ten minute walk, every one was fantastic. As well as minutes walk from transit. Somehow though being in the middle of everything, being on the water in this houseboat makes you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Claire has great taste, her home is designed impeccably, with one of the major highlights being the record player, listening to classics like the Beatles, Bowie, The Doors while sitting on the back porch taking in the incredible view of the canal. Bonus was the most efficient washer dryer I used during my 3 week stay in Europe and the large dishwasher. Had we stayed longer, we would have cooked, there was a fully stocked Chefs kitchen. Thanks for the perfect end to our adventure!

We had a great time on Mandy's houseboat. It was so clean and convenient with beautiful water views. We enjoyed the sauna, the comfortable bed, and Mandy was extremely communicative. Highly recommended!

A lovely houseboat out of the busy fray of Amsterdam with easily accessible public transportation, cafes and restaurants. The birdlife on the canal was a pleasure, including 5 recently hatched baby coots. Liz gave us proper food to give the parents and we enjoyed watching them feed their offspring. Great break from museums and all the activities of Amsterdam.

Valerio’s houseboat was incredible and a true highlight of our trip to Amsterdam. It was very big and had the cutest and most clever details throughout. We stayed a few places during our trip and we all agreed her houseboat was our favorite!!

I would highly recommend this airbnb. It was absolutely incredible. I was instantly transported into the Dutch fantasy staying on this gorgeous house boat. The bed was really comfy which is a big deal. The boat had the most insane views from every window. I feel like photos don’t do this place justice. It was quiet, peaceful, walking distance to everything. It felt very safe. The hosts were responsive. I would likely stay here again if I ever come back.

very helpful, very friendly, worth a stay. It takes a while to get to the center by public transport but I appreciated the calm surroundings which also shows a completely different side of Amsterdam one would usually not get to see

Vi hade två underbara dagar i Anouks fina husbåt. Den hade allt vi behövde och var ren och trevlig. Jättesköna sängar och så trevligt bemötande. Vi älskade möjligheten att använda den lilla båten och åkte på vackra turer åt båda håll om husbåtens plats i kanalen. Vi uppskattade också mycket servicen med de fyra cyklarna som ingick. Använde dem för en tur i vackra omgivningar längs kanaler och besök till nästa stad. Vi åt middag två kvällar på den lilla restaurangen tvärs över gatan som hade väldigt bra mat. Mycket att se och uppleva med båt eller cykel på lagom utflyktsavstånd. Väldigt trevligt som vi gärna rekommenderar. Vi var två par som bodde i båten och var i sällskap med ett tredje par som i sin tur hyrde ett rum i Zaandijk alldeles i närheten. Det var nära och var inga problem för oss att umgås trots olika boenden.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt auf dem Hausboot von Erica. Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft. Bei einer Tasse Kaffee oder einem Glas Wein und dann dieser Blick von der Terrasse- einfach nur wunderschön! Wir konnten richtig entspannen und vom Alltag abschalten. Das Hausboot ist sehr liebevoll mit vielen kleinen Details eingerichtet. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Der Wellnessbereich mit Sauna und Whirlpool verdient die Note 1! Erica ist sehr hilfsbereit und die Kommunikation vorab und während unseres Aufenthaltes war einwandfrei. Alles in allem eine große Empfehlung! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Das fest angelegte Hausboot bietet einen tollen, entspannenden Blick auf das Wasser, den Himmel und den gegenüberliegenden Yachthafen - durch die großen Fenster und die gute Einrichtung auch direkt aus dem Bett. Alles ist komfortabel eingerichtet und ausgestattet und sehr sauber, der Check-in und die hinterlegten Informationen sind gut durchdacht und organisiert. Wir hatten eine entspannte Zeit zu zweit! (Man sollte sich nur im Klaren sein, dass das Boot bei Wind durchaus ein wenig "Seegang" hat, also mit den Wellen etwas im Wasser rollt.)
