Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Amherst County

Lovely little spot in Amherst. Clean, close to the towns shops and restaurants. Stayed here for SBC reunion and it was convenient to campus.

Fleetwood is charming! The two bedrooms are big and comfortable. The photos are clear that the third bed is a pull out sofa. The kitchen is big and easy to make a meal for a larger group. Kristen is very responsive, helpful and flexible. Thank you!

Me and my Family had the pleasure of Booking with Michael, his family home is absolutely beautiful and spacious in a very peaceful area, he was very understanding and very thorough with instructions, Michael's was very helpful and accommodating as me and my family was in need of a place to sleep due to a prior arrangement not working out and he was more than accommodating going above and be and it is much appreciated not to mention that the home was also impeccable, I would definitely recommend Michael's and this property to anyone visiting or in the area, Thank you again

We loved the attention to detail that Danielle gave with our particular stay. We were there for a graduation and she included a grad balloon and we also had dogs and she provided a little goodie bag for them and dog bowls, etc. Nice touches!

First and foremost, Ashley and Ryan were extremely responsive. Second, the house was attractively decorated. The table in the back dining area was stunning. The huge fenced yard was wonderful for our dogs, and was really easy to access from the inside . It was nice having bedrooms upstairs and downstairs. The proximity of the parking to the front door made unloading and packing exceptionally easy. We enjoyed having two separate bathrooms. It was also a Bo us being able to use the washer and dryer. This place in the mountains is BEAUTIFUL! I wanted to stay longer. I was there for my graduation from Liberty University. It was about an hour away, but it worked for me because the property was large enough to house all of my family and friends. Jennifer was VERY responsive. The kitchen was amazing. There is a Food Lion about 6 minutes away down the hill, and restaurants. My grandsons and niece loved the outdoor play area. My husband loved the fire pit. I loved sitting on the porch on the swing. We stayed at this home for W&L graduation. It was just as described and was well-appointed and clean. There was a ramp to the first floor which was accommodated one of our guests who had mobility issues. The home has plenty of space and worked well for our group of 8. It is in a somewhat remote location (which we knew when we booked) with beautiful views of the mountains. The hosts were responsive to all of our inquiries. Unfortunately, now that our son has graduated we probably won't have an occasion to stay here again but we would definitely recommend it if you don't mind a 20 minute ride to the W&L campus.

Ed and Camille were amazing, they have a sweet apartment with a great Jacuzzi and pool. We were in town for a wedding and were blessed that Ed’s spot was open as it was only 15 minutes from the wedding venue. The apt was clean and everything was working, the kitchen was spotless as well. Ed and Camille were great, very communicative and nice people.

We had a great stay! Jess gave us recommendations of local restaurants to try and nearby hikes. The apartment was spotless and felt very private.

It’s really hard to say adequately how wonderful our stay here was. We were here for our son’s college graduation & military commissioning at Liberty University, which is only about a 15 minute drive but feels worlds away from the chaos of the graduation. We almost didn’t consider this place because of having to share a bathroom with 3 teenagers. But the bathroom was so large, incredibly clean, & had so many towels & towel racks it didn’t feel difficult at all. I sat out on the front porch or on the Adirondack chairs every day. And our family used the covered patio area they built off to the side for several meals with extended family that would pop by. Mike & Alice are fantastic hosts. My husband’s favorite part with how friendly response if they were with anything that we desired, even restocking the waters. I loved the history they put together about the house. It really is such a great place and made our trip incredibly special. So special it may ruin every other Airbnb for us.

This is a perfect rental off one of the most beautiful streets in Lynchburg. The property is clean and well appointed with a wonderful view of the neighborhood from the Crows Nest! The host was also very responsive when I had to adjust the reservation. I highly recommend staying in this wonderful space!

This was a perfect location- close to downtown, clean, and well stocked kitchen. Bobby was an excellent host and made some accommodations for me that were so thoughtful. I would recommend staying here.

We stayed here while we were looking for homes in the area and it was one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at so far! I have never seen such thoughtful detail put into an Airbnb before. The hosts were very friendly and the stay was incredibly comfortable. The house was beyond charming and there’s information about a lot of the antiques within the house. I’d definitely stay there again next time and I’d highly recommend it. :)

Great basement apartment with separate entrance. It was exactly what I needed for a weekend bike trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains. Check-in was easy with the keypad and the apartment was clean and had everything I needed. Josh is a great host.

I stayed in the cabin on the river, I must say it was probably the best few days I’ve ever had. Such a beautiful and peaceful set up, not to mention the farm as a whole was amazing. I will definitely be back!

We loved our stay here! Upon arrival we were met with a perfectly clean place alongside free snacks and other amenities. The unique style of the cabin by itself made it a fun stay but combined with how well kept Gretchen had the place and all the fun things to do in the cabin made it an outstanding stay.

Excellent all around. I had a very restful weekend at Christina’s cabin. The location was beautiful, and the cabin itself was more comfortable and well-appointed than I expected, while still retaining a rustic, woodsy charm. Directions and instructions were clear and easy to follow, and Christina was very responsive when I had questions. I highly recommend purchasing eggs and whatever seasonal produce is on offer. I was lucky enough to be here in strawberry and asparagus season myself! Christina’s place is definitely going on my list of favorite places to stay in Virginia.

If you’re looking for a peaceful spot on the river, punctuated by an occasional train whistle (across the river), this is it! Bryan and Wanda made sure we had what we needed and were very kind. The cabin is low on frills but we expected that. Access to the river is very easy and our son enjoyed several afternoon floats. Paddlemore was terrific for a weekend stay.

We had a great stay celebrating our 10 year anniversary and also a birthday. The house has everything you could need and we loved cooking on the grill and loved that the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. The house is the perfect layout for kids and dogs as well and the hot tub felt amazing after we hiked Crabtree Falls. The proximity to town and the local pie shop was perfect. We would definitely recommend to friends and family and would love to come stay again.

Our family of three had a wonderful stay at this charming cabin! It was the perfect mix of peaceful and fun—the setting by the river is incredibly relaxing, and our child absolutely loved watching the horses and exploring the open space. The cabin was spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully stocked kitchen and cozy common areas. We spent our mornings sipping coffee on the porch, took easy day trips into Lexington, and enjoyed quiet evenings by the fireplace. If you’re looking for a family-friendly retreat surrounded by nature and animals, this place is a gem. We’d definitely come back!
