Waterfront vacation rentals in Amarante

Nous avons loué tout l'etage pour 5 personnes: 3 chambres doubles, une cuisine avec une terrasse fermée, et deux salles de bains. L'appartement est très fonctionel, bien tenu et bien placé. Nous conseillons!

An outstanding Airbnb in a beautiful location. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of several different places to sit in the garden and enjoy the spectacular views of the Douro valley. But it's the hosts that make this place so special. Casimiro and his son Manuel represent what Airbnb is all about; they personally welcomed us, offering lots of recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants, but were never intrusive. Casimiro's wife had prepared a tray of 'entradas' - a Portuguese starter of cured meats, cheeses, bread and olives - plus a bottle of local wine. A couple of days later Casimiro appeared with an huge bowl of cherries from their own orchard. This Airbnb wasn't just somewhere to stay for a few nights, but an experience to be treasured.

This is a lovely apartment with parking and elevator. The view from the balcony is stunning! Maria was very sweet and helpful. We had difficulty finding the location and Maria and I did not speak the same language so she had someone call me back that spoke English to help me find the location and answer any questions. Great location, great apartment. highly recommend :)

Fernando was a welcoming host, and even shared a 50 year old Porto with us. The house is a true gem, filled with antiques, and everything modern that subtly goes along with that. It was comfortable, the beds had the best linens, it was clean, and bright. The view and surroundings of the duoro Valley and the towns could not have been better. I wish to return if we ever come back to this beautiful area.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön. die Unterkunft ist mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Der Austausch mit den Gastgebern war immer sehr nett und hilfreich. Ich würde die Unterkunft wieder besuchen.

This place is great! About 35 min outside of downtown Porto. Easy to find and Liana was super communicative. They left a bottle of wine, & chocolate along with robes. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area, this place has everything you need! Everyone was so helpful and the place was so charming. ❤️

We absolutely loved the apartment. The surrounding area was beautiful and calm, the sound of waterfall was very relaxing. The view from the window just amazing 🤩 The river beach 5 min walk down by the road. We stayed at two bedrooms apartment and place just was spotless. Full of Portuguese character with the modern twist. Bright and spacious. Everything that you need is there. You need a car definitely there. Check in and check out was straight forward. All instructions were provided. We didn’t have any problems. We would recommend the place 💯 present. And hope some else would enjoy as we did.

We really enjoyed the spectacular views, the amazing terrace and the fun pool. BBQ area was a real plus and all the amenities were adequate for our party of six. Joao was a very friendly and responsive host. The main bedroom was large but the other bedrooms and communal areas were small with limited soundproofing. The location was beautifully private but the noises from the town and river could be loud.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Casa de Mirao. Wunderschön und ruhig gelegen, ist es perfekt für eine kleine Auszeit. Neben netten Aufmerksamkeiten gab es immer wieder Orangen oder Zitronen. Rafael und seine Familie sind tolle Gastgeber. Aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Perfekt. Die Wege im Douro Tal sind eng und steil aber wir haben uns schnell dran gewöhnt. Selbst mit dem VW Bus kein Problem. Auf jeden Fall eine große Empfehlung. Danke

We stayed for a few days after a wedding in downtown Porto. We were looking forward to the peace and quiet of the countryside. it didn't disappoint. It's very rare to live quiet solitude for any length of time. The home was beautifully designed and the forest backdrop felt magical. Marisa was very responsive and helpful throughout. I would recommend to others to book.

From the moment we walked in, we knew this place was something special. It has that rare, magical feeling where everything just feels right. The space was stunning—beautifully kept, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly peaceful. But the real showstopper? The views. Absolutely spectacular in every direction. We spent hours just soaking it all in. The pool was perfect—clean, refreshing, and surrounded by scenery that made it feel like our own private paradise. Every moment here felt relaxing and memorable. What really made the stay extra special was Paulo and his wonderful family. They were warm, welcoming, and always available if we had questions. They also gave us amazing local recommendations, especially for restaurants—we had some of our best meals thanks to their tips! Beautiful location, private and serene, Maria Lurdes is a fantastic host. She took time to show us around and explain the local culture and towns. The house is beautiful with so much space for games, gym, office space, living area is spacious for large groups. The river is right in front with easy access. Will definitely go back again to enjoy the house and Maria’s great hospitality. Would easily give the place 6 STARS out of 5!!!!

The GPS couldn't work out the location so we had to rely on our phone to get to the house. We missed the Wine tasting by the look of it as a result but our host welcomed us with an introduction and free taste of their wine and explanation of their lovely property. The visit EXCEEDED our expectation. The Duoro valley is really lovely and well worth a visit. The host and his family were very kind and attentive and I will be heading back there with other family members asap. THANKS FOR THE WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Zeit in Maureles genossen. Freundlicher Gastgeber und gute Unterstützung bei Fragen. Ruhige Lage und Ausstattung gemäss der Beschreibung. Ideal für Ausflüge in der Gegend (Fahrzeug notwendig). Für Wanderungen/Spaziergänge direkt von der Villa aus aber weniger geeignet.

Nous avons passé un moment merveilleux chez Dulce : tout était parfait : le calme, la nature, les animaux, la maison typique, les équipements ( piscines, terrain de tennis, ping pong, pétanque, mini golf, équitation ) et surtout surtout l’extrême gentillesse de Dulce et son mari… ce sont des gens formidables avec qui nous avons pu échanger et nous ne remercierons jamais assez Dulce pour ses petites attentions : les œufs frais, les soupes, les gâteaux faits maison et les glaces offertes à nos enfants! Vous pouvez aller dans ce havre de paix les yeux fermés !!
