This is the perfect location for Drake Bay. We unloaded from our boat on the beach just a couple hundred meters from the stairs that lead to the Cotingas complex. After spending two days hiking at Sirena Ranger Station, this was a perfect recovery spot. It’s perched quietly above the town, but less than a 5 minute walk to restaurants, launching points for activities, and the beach. The place is rustic as is everything in Drake Bay, but it’s extremely clean, private, safe and the view is better than the picture. Having a host steps away that also operates a restaurant and coffee in the next villa over makes the experience feel like staying in a resort. Housekeeping was a nice and unexpected touch. The service from the staff was perfect.

Wow! What an incredible place and experience in Drake Bay. Yami and her family are native to Drake Bay and they are the best hosts offering such personalized and friendly service. They picked us up at the boat landing, helped with our bags, made early breakfast for us each morning on the beautiful balcony (a small fee), had great stories and pointed out birds and places, and helped us back to the boat on our last day. The casita is clean and comfortable and a wonderful location right by restaurants and the beach but so peaceful and quiet at night. The sound of the waves helps you sleep! We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to get back to Bahia Drake again!
