Outstanding stay in every possible way. Sue and Joe have created an oasis in the jungle. The lodging itself is beautiful and matched the photos but what sets Southern Drakes Lodge apart is the service. We are a family of 5 and never have we felt so taken care of in all our travels. From the moment we booked to when it was time to depart, Sue and Joe took care of every detail from taxis, laundry, tours (thank you Elsa!), amazing meals (Thai and Ellie prepared breakfast and dinner that were as beautiful as they were delicious). Five days was not enough but we all left with a sense of gratitude that we were able to experience the OSA peninsula and stay in such a special place with amazing hosts.

Absolutely spectacular in every way! The suite was light and airy, incredible views, stunning architecture. Peaceful surroundings. Joe and Susannah are real gems and we truly loved getting to know them (and the dogs and cat). The food was exceptional. Lots to do in Drake Bay: we barely scratched the surface after being there for 4 nights. We would absolutely stay there again.

Amazing view

Christian and his wife provided a very comfortable and enjoyable experience during our stay with them in Drakes Bay. From the Boat pick up to the food and room accommodations, all were beyond our expectations. We would definitely stay at Cabina Yaseth again. Pura Vida!

Thank you so much guys, we really enjoyed the place a lot because of all of the modern amenities while being in the middle of the rainforest. After a long day outdoors we will get home to a cold AC which is a must. The place was always clean and I had my own private room. Will definitely be back, thank you!

The truth is that everything was excellent, very clean, tidy, and equipped. We enjoyed it to the fullest and the great ranch was a very beautiful area to share Parking and everything is very securely closed, in addition to being extremely quiet and relaxing

Our original AirBnb didn’t work out- we literally couldn’t get to it because there was a river flowing across the road! We booked R House at the last minute and were so grateful that we were able to check in immediately. The house was so great! Clean, spacious, comfortable, private, nice amenities- we loved our stay! The hosts were super friendly and responsive. If I’m ever in this area again I would definitely stay here again. There is another house on the property available for rent. Very convenient if you are traveling with a huge family or friends.

The R house was just the refreshing and rejuvenating space we needed to unwind. The location was easy to find , well-maintained , and spacious . All of the amenities available were perfect to have a fun and wholesome stay. Communication was clear and timely . I would stay again .

Fantastic location with the most incredible view. Drake bay and this house are so unique. The noise and view of the ocean were incredible. However Jose and Debra were so helpful throughout our stay. It was like having a concierge service. Great stay and wonderful hosts.

Breathtaking view of the ocean from the porch and most of the house with sounds of birds all around and largely secluded. Comfy hammocks too! A/C in bedrooms was wonderful and unusual given it was scorching hot. Drinking water, lots of linens and everything we needed for cooking was provided. very nice owners. Susan arranged a lovely horseback ride for us. Things to know: 1) Getting to the nearby bar, restaurant and beach is a hike down or up a steep paved trail. My regret is not planning to cook more meals/make own drinks given up and down walk. 2) Beach waa not very swimmable...lots of churn/heavy waves. Swimmable/nice beach is probably 45 min walk from the house. Overall, loved it!!

This home and property is amazing! Michael is a gracious host, quick-witted, and brings interesting conversation during his short visits. The Osa Peninsula is an absolute dream vacation destination! Few tourists, welcoming locals, great food, and nature galore. We had a large troop of Squirrel Monkeys come through the trees over us as we were swimming in the pool. We heard parrots and howler monkeys every morning. A 4x4 is highly recommended so you can go to some of the even more off the beaten path locations. We absolutely loved visiting Playa Preciosa and Playa Pan Dulce. We met a man named Oscar who took us fishing and served us amazing food at the Cahui Beach Resort. Definitely check that place out for lunch and a day on the beach under umbrellas. There are plenty of grocery options nearby. We visited the end of February and didn't have any issue with biting bugs and the weather was comfortable to sleep. Thank you Michale! We will definitely be back!!!
